packed with big name stars that do nothing for the film. uninteresting. the plot is so miniscule. there is no depth to any of the characters. so dull
In my books, the first true western to not only demonstrate the flexibility of the genre - but to offer the unkept mischief that its characters were capable of that would be gruesome in films that mimick it later (The good, the bad and the ugly)
This may be the first Cooper movie I don't like. The director's decision to play Lancaster off as comic relief until the end when he becomes the villain just makes it seem like a waste of time.
