At first I thought this was Sherlock Holmes meets V for Vendetta but it's more like Sherlock Holmes meets the Matrix devil. This movie was fantastic - great plot, great fight scenes and a great twist.

MCT:November 14, 2007I saw this under the US title "Dark Portals", which (unfortunately) had English voice-over. The special effects, fight scenes, and dark/ almost-medieval ambiance of the movie was enticing. The voice actors were so bad, however, that I really didn't enjoy the movie much. If you can find this with the original French soundtrack & Englich subtitles, I believe it will be a great movie.

At first I didn't think I was going to like this but it was really good. Not an american-ized movie. Thank god though, I think we would have butchered it. It looked a bit like City of Lost Children with some Mirrormask thrown in with a supernatural murder mystery thing going on. Definently worth the watch if your into this type of a movie.

amazing! oh dear god. i can't even begin to explain how cool and sinister this movie is. the plot thickens like a classic sherlock holmes story . the visuals are awesome! how cool is it that people are assassinated by lightning? come on now! that's so awesome.
