She first interviews Koththaala Thevar (Pasupathy), who is on death row. He speaks of the chaos in his village. She then interviews his neighboring enemy Virumaandi (Haasan), who tells a much different story. Between the two rivals is the brave heroine Annalakshmi (Abhiraami).
