This fascinating documentary by award winning filmmaker Thomas Lucas is a two-part look at our galaxy and the world of space exploration. The story begins with an examination of what scientists, visionaries, and entrepreneurs have in mind for the future in space. This includes space colonies and hotels; tourism; solar energy development; commuter transport and same day mail delivery; and asteroid mining. While some of these daring ideas exist only in the minds of futuristic dreamers, many of the projects are surprisingly far along in their development. The film uses 3-D computer animation to present the ideas and projects. Emerging technologies are presented that are overcoming obstacles to long-distance space flight and will make the space exploration dreams of today the reality of tomorrow. ~ Rose of Sharon Winter, Rovi
