Good movie classicly named greedy bugger Gordan Gecko!
An excellent moral tale of what can happen when you let money rule your life. Stone's direction is awesome, great performance from Sheen, made me respect him as an actor after trash like two and a half men. Douglas is as bad ass as they come in his infamous turn as Gordon Gecko.
Douglas is amazing. But you only really need to see it once throughout your life.
Michael Douglas' character might be the only reason to see this film...so evil and dominating that he swallows up the rest of the film and its cast.
The movie overall is alright, but I love Michael Douglas as Gordan Gecko. I love watching the "greed is good" speech everytime. The ultimate reminder of 80s yuppie greed.
very entertaining even though i have limited interest in the stock market...could expect nothing less from Oliver Stone.....Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas in their prime......very well done....it easily comes equipped with my seal of approval....
This 1987 Oliver Stone movie shows some signs of aging, but is still a great tale of Greed vs. Morality, or as Michael Douglas so finely puts it during the film "Capitalism at it's best" Great performances by Douglas and both Sheen's (Charlie and Martin) however Hannah's performa...( read more)
Yeah, Oliver Stone's not subtle, but I liked this. Douglas came through big.
Dated, but still entertaining. Martin Sheen gives the best-ever line reading of the word "wallet".
Charlie Sheen at his peak?? He definitely doesn't look as good now... But anyway, the movie is surprisingly good! Loved the plot and how the student out-manuveres the master...
Pretty ordinary and predictable for an Oliver Stone movie. I was bored.
movies about high finance fascinate me....and this one is no exception..douglas was pretty good altho not that scene chewing performance i had expected
Seansational entertainment. Douglas is a powerhouse. Slick, smart and electric. Oliver Stones most insightful and brilliant film.
I don't know anything about wallstreet, so it was boring and a bit confusing
This isn't a great movie, but it's fairly enjoyable if you're in the right mindset. Michael Douglas is great as a conniving, corrupt man consumed by greed.
fantastic performance by micheal douglas......im still not sure wat to think of sheen in this.
Oliver Stone's love letter to the American stock market may be a tad difficult to follow for anyone who doesn't understand the inner workings of the NASDAQ, but there's plenty to like in this dramatic tale of one young trader's rise to power, and the consequences that his actions...( read more)
you can definetly tell this came from the 80's where greed is good and having more money means the world and also power. Really great film.
Michael Douglas' role of his career (debatable). Fun movie, although now very dated. I have heard a sequel may be in the works though.
haha, if this movie was even slightly better written it could have four stars in my book
classic...m.douglas at his best..."life all come down to a few moments, this is one of them"
"Greed, for lack of a better word, is good." Defining quote of this film and the 80's.
Not a bad movie at all. Michael Douglas is a sweet villain, although Charlie seen isn't the most believeable in some of the more dramatic scenes. Other than that, it didn't linger too much at the beginning and was interesting pretty quickly
Oliver Stone done good! Really good look at the cut throat business on Wall Street. Charlie Sheen and Michael D are at their best in this one!
Really did nothing for me. Probably wasn't two star bad, but I had no reason to continue watching it at any time. Oh well.
i liked the enviornemnt and the realsitic representation of wall street, acting was good but i can't blieve douglas won best lead actor for geeko he was good but best actor of the year!!!! charlie sheen did well
A very entertaining film and a great time capsule from the 80s, complete with the brick size cellphones and yuppy narcicism.
Greed, for lack of a better term, is good . . . And speaking of Gordon Gekko (sorry, it's not spelled Gecko), if you've not seen Wall Street, you've missed a chance to experience one of the greatest villains in silver screen history. For you younger flixsters, if you've ...( read more)
Michael Douglas is brilliant in his Oscar-winning role in this well-made Drama from Oliver Stone.
Amazing movie, great direction from Stone and one of the best acting from Michael Douglas.
great film, oliver stone at his best. the usually wooden micheal douglas deserved his oscar for this.
