Douglas doing that thing he does so well.
A good film. It gets compared frequently to Network, a comparison which probably doesn't do this film much good. This isn't Lumet & Chayefsky, but it's probably Oliver Stone's best film.
Greed is good. The movie is half-decent. I believe one of those two statements.
An outstanding, oscar winning performance from Douglas makes this a must see. Sheen's not half bad either, which has got to be a first. Enjoyable every time you see it.
A cool movie about the power of Stock Xchange and an Oscar winning performance by Michael Douglas...
Charlie Shee's piss poor acting almost drowns this.Douglas saves it.Stone at medium.
Definately a classic Michael Douglas film! Even after all this time, I still find this movie stands out as one of the better movies out there.
An excellent moral tale of what can happen when you let money rule your life. Stone's direction is awesome, great performance from Sheen, made me respect him as an actor after trash like two and a half men. Douglas is as bad ass as they come in his infamous turn as Gordon Gecko.
Douglas is amazing. But you only really need to see it once throughout your life.
Michael Douglas' character might be the only reason to see this film...so evil and dominating that he swallows up the rest of the film and its cast.
The movie overall is alright, but I love Michael Douglas as Gordan Gecko. I love watching the "greed is good" speech everytime. The ultimate reminder of 80s yuppie greed.
very entertaining even though i have limited interest in the stock market...could expect nothing less from Oliver Stone.....Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas in their prime......very well done....it easily comes equipped with my seal of approval....
This 1987 Oliver Stone movie shows some signs of aging, but is still a great tale of Greed vs. Morality, or as Michael Douglas so finely puts it during the film "Capitalism at it's best" Great performances by Douglas and both Sheen's (Charlie and Martin) however Hannah's performa...( read more)
Yeah, Oliver Stone's not subtle, but I liked this. Douglas came through big.
Dated, but still entertaining. Martin Sheen gives the best-ever line reading of the word "wallet".
Charlie Sheen at his peak?? He definitely doesn't look as good now... But anyway, the movie is surprisingly good! Loved the plot and how the student out-manuveres the master...
Pretty ordinary and predictable for an Oliver Stone movie. I was bored.
movies about high finance fascinate me....and this one is no exception..douglas was pretty good altho not that scene chewing performance i had expected
