Wallace and Gromit is one of the best cartoons ever made. The animation is brilliant and the plots are always great. This one is no different. The character are fantastic. You can never get enough of them. A must see for everyone because you'd have to be mad not to like Wallace and Gromit.
Wallace and Gromit return in their third animation - 'A Close Shave'.
The duo, now working as window cleaners (with lots of clever gadgets of course) begin to clean the window sfor a kind lady in the village named Wendolene, who Wallace falls in love with, and her dog.
However at the same time Sheep are being stolen from fields and Gromit is mysteriously accused and sent to prison. It is soon revealed that Wendolene's dog is the culprit and has been grinding the sheep into dog food!
'A Close shave' once again reaches new heights with some action scenes worthy of a motion picture. The laughs are plenty and the plot (although not as good as 'The Wrong Trousers') is clever and exciting.
Peter Sellis voices Wallace again, and this time their is another speaking role (a first in the series) in Wendolene, voiced by Anne Reid.
Although Wallace and Gromit are brillianta salways, it is the sheep, especially the cute Shaun the Sheep, that steal the show!
Another masterpeice for animator Nick Parks and the Wallace and Gromit team!
when my sister was a bout 3-4 years old she went through this phase of having to watch the 3 wallace and gromit films one after the other after play school and then watch all 3 again. i love these film dearly (as do i love my sister) but if u can recite or renact it the nyou begin to hate them so i dont know why i have put them in this list?!
Wallace and Gromit are on par with Looney Tunes and the Simpsons in the animation hall of fame. This is their best, a masterpiece in every sense of the word. It involves some sheep and a cyborg dog but it is almost pointless to try and summarize any of it. Just watch it if you haven't yet.
The duo is just hilarious as usual with their inventions and goofs, and their supporting actors are, as often, brilliant..this time Wendolene, evil dog Preston and..sheep(!) lol
Hilariously Funny! that should be a word LOL. AnywaysUsaully sequels start to go down hill.... Not Wallace and Gromit. This time the Yarn Supply goes down hill in the town while a Mysterious Sheep Herder is stealin all of the towns sheep.
Undoubtedly one of Nick Park's greatest achievements. Although The Wrong Trousers had a slightly more comic laden premise and a creepier villain, A Close Shave offers something that hadn't been seen prior: romance. It allowed Wallace to evolve emotionally as a character and thus come further up to part with his loyal and often sympathetic counterpart. On another note, this is yet another instance where claymation stands strong against CGI since it is on this occasion that an entire city scape is recreated in the thriller conclusion which sees a thriller arial assault into a factory. All the while maintaining a strong Northern flavor. Keep up the good work Nick.
Love this movie and Wrong Trousers (though can't find it on Flickster for some reason) Half an hour of brilliant, funny, sweet story with great detail and effects. Rooting for sweet Gromit all the way
