A fun movie, where an evil warlock (Julian Sands) arrives in present-day Earth to cause havoc. There are some nasty death sequences in this one. The hero (Richard E. Grant) brings a nice balance to the conflict. It's a bit Highlander-ish, but original enough. I never saw the War...( read more)

Julian Sands is very much the personification of an evil warlock but it is Richard E. Grant, cast very much against type as a heroic witch-hunter, who steals every scene he is in!

A fish-outta-water horror! Genuinely funny at times
(reminded me a bit of The Visitors) and good
scripting - a horror movie where the characters didnt
make me want to kill them. -

It's basically a horror/fantasy version of Terminator. After you get past that you have a pretty decent silly over-the-top horror film. Julian Sands does a great cheesy villain and Richard E. Grant gives an okay hero. Though the chick from Footloose is kind of annoying. The seque...( read more)
