Good lord!! I wanted to beat the crap out of Lucy Lui!! I "almost" felt sorry for the crap we put guys through - and then I remembered I'm not quite as merciless as she is...so - no pity!! :D

The Visuals are up there with 2001, Star Wars and Alien. Harrison ford is probably not my first choice for Will Decker but Rutger Hauer is on fire.

Maybe the worst movie I've seen all year. Cillian was great, but this movie is such an embarrassment. Talk about cheese!

A quirky, funny, and interesting movie. Not everyone will love this one. I personally was entertained through out and wouldn't mind watching again. Cillian Murphy and Lucy Liu were perfectly matched in this film and I can't imagine anyone else playing these roles. I found myself laughing a lot more than I expected and adoring the characters completely.

Honestly, it sounds more interesting than watching paint dry, but then, so is watching the horses on tv.

At times, while I was watching, I didn't know what to make of this film. I know that I LOVED Lucy Liu's character, and I really enjoyed Callian too; however, I was kind of at a loss when it came down to a final verdict.
As the film drew to a close, however, and everything was tied up, I decided that I really did enjoy it, in all its offbeat glory! It's a cute, atypical love story! It's definitely worth a watch if you're looking for something different.

I loved Watching the Detectives! The whole movie was just terrific and hilarious. I found myself laughing out loud several times, it was real funny and completely not cliche. Nothing really... ever happened though in the movie, but for some strange reason it NEVER lost my attention. It wasn't slow, or boring at all. I hear people say they didnt think Lucy Liu was right for her part, but I thought she pulled it off amazing and was perfect for her part, along with Cillian Murphy, OF COURSE. They have great chemistry and the movie is a joyous film. It's a movie for everyone, and one you can watch over and over. Horrah!

This is an odd movie, nothing great happens, but theres more than a couple of laughs, some moments of frustration and a thoroughly enjoyable film, great without being great??!!??

Really enjoyable, not quite sure why; nothing really happens, just good dialogue and entertaining characters.

This film is about a film geek (Cillian Murphy) who falls in love with a girl (Lucy Liu) who is always up for an adventure. It is the classic romance story of a "tight-as-a-belt" man meets "raunchy, raucous yet cute and cuddly" woman and they consequently falls in love with each other and live happily ever after.

What made saw this film is Cillian Murphy. I have never seen him in a comedy before and then I went to see this to see if he has the acting chops for romantic comedies. We have always seen him in dark, brooding thrillers and it is always good to see these character actors to try out new roles and Cillian Murphy just proved here that he is a versatile actor. From the apocalyptic zombie epic "28 Days Later", his villainous turn as Scarecrow in "Batman Begins" and the Danny Boyle sci-fi "Sunshine" to this: A light hearted comedy about finding love in the most weirdest of ways.

I hope to see more of him in the future. Be it a dark thriller or a comedy, count me in.

The plot is somewhat familiar but it all worked out in the end. It was cute but at some points in the film the cutesy-factor went overboard for me. Lucy Liu was okay as the leading lady although her character was a bit annoying at times.

But you know, like I said, it all worked out in the end. Its cuteness got me. 3 and a half stars.
