Maya (Kajol) is positively adored by her three children Anjali (Diya Sonecha), Ankush (Nominath Ginsburg), and Aleya (Aanchal Munjal). And though her marriage to Aman (Arjun Rampal) may have not worked out, both parents do their best to give their children a happy upbringing. When Aman introduces Anjali, Ankush, and Aleya to his ambitious, goal-oriented girlfriend Shreya (Kareena Kapoor), however, it quickly becomes apparent that Shreya has been too caught up in her work to grasp the intense responsibilities of motherhood. Meanwhile, when circumstances dictate that Maya and the children move in with Aman and Shreya, an unexpected development prompts the two women to put their differences aside and focus on keeping the family together though the coming storm. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Bollywood loves a wallow, and that this succeeds as one is mostly thanks to its stars.

We Are Family mostly works despite its shortcomings; if cultural and artistic differences dictate the manner of its storytelling, its heart is very much in the right place and that's a borderless asset for any film.
