The original story is beautiful, and it should and could have been a great film had it been given to a more competent director with a totally different cast. It's sickly sweet, like putting sugar on cream, visually stunning but far too schmaltzy for its own good. A real shame and...( read more)
Other than being pretty Biblically incorrect, it was an ok movie. Very sad!
If nothing else this movie is a gourmet feast for your eyes. The sets and colors are pretty magnificent. Everything else, however, is kind of lackluster.

Wow Wow Wow. I saw it 4 years ago and didn't watch it intently. This movie is intense. Crazy realization of life after death possibilities that'll turn you on your head. This movie is art... its about love and loss, and it competes with some of the most epic fantacies ever produced.
saw enough to know i didn't wish to see anymore. besides, c.g.jr and i don't really see eye-to-eye on his movies
