Listen. This is my favourite Almodovar movie. Absurd, colorful, strangely moving and sweet. Definitely underrated, but more of that, unknown. A neglected masterpiece, see it!
Saw this film once and did not make a lasting impression...Maura is a dream, she enraptures the audience as well as Almodovar as he uses her abilities rather often but she sparkles here in this kind of a mess then in Law of Desire she illuminates...bravo Maura
great spanish film from my favorite director. it has english substitles. like all his crazy films, this one is no difference. it is the story about a woman who kills her husband and tries to sell her son so she can get money to pay the bills.
This must be the most absurd Almodovar I've seen. I mean, come on, a little girl with super powers? Finally I've come to conclusion that Almodovar just isn't my thing.
Entertaining but not Almodovar at his best....not at all.
Like always Carmen Maura delivered and I really like the characters of the Grandma, the junkie neighbor and the "gigolo" son. Somewhat entertaining. Nevertheless, I just wasn't into the movie that much
I much prefer this to some of Almodovar's more celebrated works. There is great tragedy but also great comedy. The ESP girl is soooooo wierd though, a bit out of place in the movie.
