Love action movies and swords are stylin. Had all the key elements: honor, skill, romance, straight-up story telling, lessons learned and my least favorites: politics and certain traditions.

This is by far the best of the modern Samurai movies that I have seen. Superb acting and directing, winning best actor, best supporting, and best director. I highly recommend to anyone who likes a great samurai flick

An excellent samurai movie about a man who will do anything to make sure his family survives.
All the actors did a great job and I felt the story flowed well. The look of the movie was great.

Beautiful, melancholy film, told predominantly in flashbacks paints a wonderful picture of a samurai trying to survive as his world changes drastically around him.
Recommended.
