I havent seen this for absolutely years and as a warning to the masses I think it was absolutely brilliant. It was very subtly done but the message more than gets through well. The scenes near the end are so touching and the ending was just....well watch it and see.
The animation was totally diferent what im use to watch, the storyline wasvery original, this movie is very sad.

The animation of When The Wind Blows is clear-drawn, and the colors that fit with the environment before and after the nuclear blast are perfect. I know what it's like for people like the elderly Jim and Hilda to survive such an event when they take shelter. It's a sad yet...( read more)
This is just beautiful. The beginning is hilarious and heartwarming. I couldn't believe it when the bomb actually dropped and things got a little more serious. The ending's a bit of a tear-jerker but it is consistent with the message of the film.
And the animation is gorgeous.
Christ this is a glum film. It starts badly and does not get any better.
absolute classic. love this movie most people have never heard of it but growing up in the eighties nuclear war was always a possibility.
