Stylish stockbroker Brad (Brian Van Holt), bohemian hipster Zeke (Zorie Barber), and socially inept Jonathan (Jonathan Abrahams) get together with their married friend Eric (Judah Domke) every Sunday at the same coffee shop to discuss whatever is on their minds -- which usually turns out to be women. While most weeks the conversation quickly turns to a crude exchange of views on "the art of seduction," one Sunday Brad, Zeke, and Jonathan all have the same remarkable bit of news for Eric: They've fallen in love. After comparing notes, however, they realize that they are all in love with the same woman, Mia (Amanda Peet). Whipped was the feature debut for writer and director Peter M. Cohen. ~ Mark Deming, Rovi

Critic Reviews
-
Paul Tatara, CNN.com
Cohen has written and directed a 'sex comedy' that's so coarse and moronic you actually feel embarrassed for the technicians who were forced work on it.
-
John Petrakis, Chicago Tribune
Whipped is a decent idea that never goes deep enough for genuine satisfaction.
-
Jay Carr, Boston Globe
There is no character development; these guys are all adolescent libido and nothing else. Cohen's writing never delivers anything resembling real human interaction or connection.
-
Christopher Smith, Bangor Daily News (Maine)
After just 30 minutes of "Whipped," you either want to hose down the screen with Lysol or dip yourself in bleach. It's that offensive, that rotten, and it easily stands as the worst film in years.
-
Scott Nash, Three Movie Buffs
Funny at times, but never makes you care.
