absolute classic. Brilliant, not a fan of the contemporary dance piece in the middle but just great the everything to inging the costumes, the sets the comedy with bing and kaye just perfect - sisters is a golden moment in cinema!
TIME LESS. WHITE CHRISTMAS WAS THE NUMBER 1 SELLING SONG IN THE WORLD FOR OVER 50 YEARS. THIS MOVIE WAS CONSIDER A WAR MOVIE WHEN IT WAS RELEASED IN THE SUMMER (NOT CHRISTMAS) OF THE LATE 40'S
One of the very best movies of all time! Great musical numbers and dancing!. Mary Wicke is hilarious as the nosey housekeeper. It's amazing how many sets they were able to fit into that small Vermont lodge!
This truly got me into the x-mas spirit and thats hard to do as I live in southern florida and wish it would just snow during x-mas time. A captivating film that had some wonderful musical numbers and dance acts. The cast for this film was marvelous and def made this film work. I really also liked the fact it had the woman from "Sister Act" as the house keeper. A film I will def watch every time during the holiday season.
it was so great classic holiday x-mas movie. great cast in bing, danny, rosemary, and vera-ellen. greatest music, singing, and dancing. and great good color of the film.
Alright, truthfully my reveiw of this film should be ignored. Why ...because i fucking hate musicals. With the exeption of Willy Wonka, Grease and the Muppet Movie...i fucking hate them. I dont find them fun or even entertaining. I hate them. So ill actually just end this here.
Oh yea, i watched this peice of shit this week with my girlfriend. She loves this film. I sat there hating life and didnt complain once. But i was thinking it!!
The singing of Rosemary Clooney & Bing Crosby, the amazing dancing of Vera-Ellen and the slapstick of the wonderful Danny Kaye (one of my personal favourites - he is, after all, Hans Christian Anderson). What more could you ask for from a Christmas movie? This all-star cast is ably supported by the brilliant character actors Dean Jagger and Mary Wickes. The plot is a bit daft and sentimental - but it's a Christmas movie and therefore acceptable. Highly enjoyable viewing!
I love this movie. Just the dancing, the outfits and the songs are enough for anyone to enjoy it. "The theatre, the theatre, what has happened to the theatre?" A classic.
