A nice idea, nicely shot but poorly executed. Michael Keaton is quite watchable and the support was ok, it just spoilt a good concept by taking the ghosts out of the computer screens towards the end. It's ok, nothing special but not terrible.

Glacial 'thriller' which desperately wants to be J-horror scary but merely puts you to sleep. Takes forever to get going and Keaton doesn't help. Bad example of Hollywood jumping on a bandwagon which had already left town.

Great idea for a creepy thriller, but did it really have to be that ridiculously boring?!? I love Keatons work, but this was a bit of a career killer. Yes, it has its tense moments, but I looked at my watch waaaay too much during this one. It's now spawned a direct to DVD sequel....( read more).... hmmmmm. Not a great movie, but the idea of EVP (Electronic Voice Phenomenon) is pretty fascinating. Shame it was so badly executed.

White Noise offers an interesting look into the world of the afterlife by delving into one mans obsession with EVP. Unfortunately due to the nature of the film the majority of it has Keaton sat in front of computers/tape recorders/television sets. This becomes very boring very fa...( read more)st. He does some investigative work but this only leads him to the most bizarre of endings with flying ghost attacks, a strange "twist" which just confuses matters. Keaton does a bang up job, his expressive face and wonderful acting skills capturing the emotional aspects of dealing with communicating with dead loved ones. It tries a bit too hard to be an exciting horror rather than simply explore it's wonderful premise.

I saw it in a school film showing last year. And man, it was so bad! It bored the hell out of me. I just can't imagine how people reacted with some scenes with way too low-class special effects and messed up storyline. This is a film that tries to be intelligent in one way or ano...( read more)ther, but its struggle isn't enough. The idea of showing this film in our school wasn't a very bright idea. It's such a waste of time, honestly.
