    Groundbreaking, genrebending, effects-powered, gag-filled 2-hour comic extravaganza.

There are so many things in thos movie that I would never have expected to see. Mickey Mouse and Bugs Bunny on the same screen. An alcoholic detective hero in a PG movie. Jessica Rabbit's chest. An upskort done by a cartoon baby. I didn't need much more to convince me that this w...( read more)as a special movie.

I can't even imagine the hurdles that had to be leapt to get so many different characters from different companies into one movie, especially a movie with its share of adult humor. Let's just say that it's a very different experience watching this movie now, as compared to watching it when I was a kid. It's always been good, but I can appreciate the subtlties much better now. A movie like Who Framed Roger Rabbit only comes along once in a very long while.

One of the first films to use a combination of Actors and Animation. A fun film for all the family, with a typical Private Eye settings but with an added difference.

A funny crossover between real-life and cartoons. Great for the kids but after seeing it recently, not so entertaining as an adult.

To make a great classic film i think it has to work on several different levels and this one not only plays on many different levels It scores tremendously.

It is a great childrens movie. With zany classic characters such as Roger, the Weasles, and Benny the Cab. They are orig...( read more)inal crazy and fun. Also it is a mystery. It plays perfectly as one of those Old 50's detective stories. It is a milestone in film making. The scenes of the "toons" and humans sharing a world is great. I think the best scene as special effects go, is the one where Eddie and Roger are handcuffed together in his office. It looks so real!!!!! This movie is fun and creative and will go down in movie history. I don't know what else to say it is simply the best.

Also do your self a favor and steer clear of the bad rip off Cool World.
