  Tasha Smith with her sword like words were so freaking awesome. I simply loved this movie. It's not only entertaining but also there were a lot of things to learn from it. As it's pretty much related to real life. It's like educating yourself about marriage.

  amidst the pop psychology and well worn characatures there lies some wonderful ensemble performances that are breezy and very human. Add to this some wonderful overall performances by Jill Scott and Janet Jackson (who knew??) and you've got a commendable film that made me both laugh and cry. While being a bit preachy in its overtly and overy religious underpinnings, if you can manage to get past it and simply watch the performances you will be rewarded and entertained - the goal of any film (except perhaps for one that strives to bring you in to the flock).

  Clumsy structure? Certainly. One note characters? Perhaps. Simple answers to complex questions? Almost certainly. But know what? There's a human aspect to the film which makes it endearing and immensely watchable at the same time. Jill Scott is the absolute stand out here, going from emotionally battered to confident and sexy. Tasha Smith is a joy to watch for another reason: you're never quite sure what she's going to do or say; she's capable of anything. This Perry film isn't about race. It's about people. And despite some structure problems, it is an enjoyable story. Just don't think about it too hard.

  This is a great movie. It has the quick, witty humor that Tyler Perry often brings to the screen. It will make you think about life, honesty, and relationships. There are so many emotions in this film that you'll be laughing one minute, crying another. This movie drives home the fact that there must be communication to have a successful relationship. I don't want to give anything away but I'll just say the scene on the plane will make you mad, the scene in the cabin at the dinner table will make you sad and the scene at the end will make you glad you saw this movie.

  My critique of Tyler Perry's movies aside, I'm glad to see SOMEONE is keeping black actors employed...having said that, this movie was...okay. I'm a big fan of Jill Scott and Janet Jackson...as singers. I was too caught up in who they were as singers to buy them as the women they portrayed. Scott's character came across as spineless to me, taking all that abuse from her husband, and I felt like Perry tried to make Jackson ugly or at least homely so she could somehow better relate to the audience. The highlight of the film was the camraderie between Michael Jai White and Tasha Smith. They were hilarious. But this film could've been better. I get the message Perry was trying to put across: marriage is hard, especially without communication. But the acting was subpar, the plot was predictable, and I just didn't buy it.

  A great drama by Tyler Perry. Great story and the actors were fantastic in this great drama on the life of being married. Four couples retreat in the mountains to see what they can do to help their marriages out and the trials they have endured. Great movie to see.

  An interesting movie about friendship, relationships, and the upside/downside of marriages. Great cast- Janet Jackson, Tasha Smith, Jill Scott, Richard T. Jones, Michael J. White, and Malik Yoba. Worthy!
