Hot film with some interesting twists in the story. I do prefer the original title (Sex Crimes) though.

Great crime thriller.Matt Dillon plays a high school counselor accused of rape by the local rich girl and her class mate who lives in a trailer on the edge of town. When a local detective looks into the case he slowly begins to uncover a web of sex, lies, greed and betrayal, all seemingly put together by all three suspects to scam the rich girl's mother out of millions of dollars and move out of Florida. The twists just keep coming in this film; once you think that's it,another twist comes along and they're all suprisingly good!At times it feels a little over the top but thats part of it's charm,it doesn't take itself to seriously and throws in the twists and turns when you least expect it.And yes, this film is famous for one particular scene involving Dillon,Denise Richards and Neve Campbell but that scene isn't the only good thing about this film!A great performance by Bill Murray in a small role as Dillons lawyer and decent enough turns from everyone, including Richards,Campbell and Kevin Bacon as the shady detective make this a fun, sexy but engaging thriller.

Pokes fun at the established conventions of the genre in a wildly entertaining vehicle. And what it loses in its largely unsympathetic characters and slow-pacing, it certainly makes up in 'gee-whiz' moments.

What makes this movie is the twists...where the hell did they come from?! It's very raunchy, but mostly intelligent.

With two of the worst actors ever to grace the big screen, Matt Dillon and Denise Richards, Wild Things puts bad acting along side horrible dialogue intertwined with an awesome story full of unexpected twists and turns to leave with a wonderfully entertaining campy movie.

Este filme no puede ser más que considerado como basura y nunca tener que ser mencionado después sino como una mala experiencia cinematográfica pues ni con Denise Richards y sus constantes semi desnudos nos conformamos ahora.

You know lesbionic goodness aside, this is actually a very well plotted, tricky thriller that keeps you guessing until the very end. Every single character is not what they first appear to be.

Except for about two scenes, totalling probably 4 minutes of film, at most, this movie blows. Matt Dillon is the most successful bad actor ever, Colin Ferrell is coming close though.

Awesome movie with a great twist at the end. What made it even better was one of my favorite actors, Kevin Bacon. He was very good. He's one of those actors who is grossly underrated and overlooked as being one of the best around!

Completely blown away by this film. I love films that have twists and some do it well and others don't suceed. This surprisingly was amazing with it. About half way through the film they just keep hitting you with more and more information about what is going on. I'll warn you now, if you're reading this review and have not already seen this film don't read any further, just watch it, i'm going to spoil everything about it. You seriously will regret it if you carry on reading. I think that I love this film so much because you can watch it a million times and it never gets old. I've seen it loads of times this week just piecing everything together in my head and i'm not getting fed up in the least. I love that this film does have it's flaws, no it isn't perfect but none of that matters because of the amazing characterisation and plot. The actors all give brilliant performances, the best of course coming from Neve Campbell. Seen a few of her films and I loved her ever since watching her in Scream. Yes ok, so the whole thing looks like a soft core porn film but at the same time the intelligence of it just oozes from every scene. I love that it is so overly complicated that it works so smoothly. You have to watch this film more than once and the second viewing is even more fun as you pick out all the little clues that the director gives you along the way. I really want to write a plot outline because i've heard many people talking nonesence about the ending and the way it all fits together in the end. I fear that this review will turn in to a novel though. A fuck it, i'm writing a long ass review anyway. I'll use actors names to avoid confusion and i'm starting with the event that would have happened first but you don't actually hear about until the end. Kevin Bacon is sleeping with some girl in the swamp where Neve Campbell stays. Campbell's boyfriend Davie steps in when Bacon slaps the girl around a bit so Bacon shoots him dead. Campbell sees the whole thing so Bacon arrests her on a drugs charge and sends her to juvy. Campbell calls Dillon's character the guidence councellor for help but he's too busy sleeping with Theresa Russell's character. Campbell plots to get back at everyone who has ever wronged her. She blackmails Dillon to go along with the plot and befriend Bacon, him believing the plot is to make money by exploiting and eventually killing Campbell and Richards. Campbell knows he'll go for it because it involves killing her which he'll want after what she saw. Campbell then gets Dillon to involve Richards who happens to have a massive crush on him. She believes it is Dillon who planned it. They set up the rape and report it, getting Dillon arrested. Bill Murray's character then comes in as the lawyer for Dillon. At trial, Campbell reveals the rape never happened as planned and Dillon is released. They both then set a deal with Russell for close on $9 million as settlement for the trouble. Campbell then gets Dillon to tell Richards and Bacon that he plans to get rid of her. Richards not knowing that Bacon is in on it in the first place. Campbell fakes her murder with the whole teeth thing and heads out to the Caribbean to wait for Dillon. Dillon gets Bacon to frame Richards for the murder of Campbell but instead he kills her and shoots himself to make it look like defence. He is then fired and heads off to the Caribbean after Dillon. They meet up on Dillon's boat Dillon tries to kill him but doesn't suceed. Campbell is revealed to be alive and shoots him with a spear gun. Campbell then poisons Dillon and knocks him into the sea. Murray then meets Campbell and hands over the money from the settlement minus his cut. Bacon's partner then speaks to Campbell's "grandmother" at the end of the film who reveals that Campbell's mother was a Van Ryan making Campbell, Russell's half-sister and aunt to Richards. Campbell was an illigitimate child so the Van Ryan's dumped her mother in the swamp where she drank herself to death leaving Campbell with the people that looked after her. I warned you if you have not already seen the film not to read this review so if you did you ruined it for yourself. Hope that clears up all the messy comments from people that didn't understand the ending. Wow this review it long. Sorry people. Basicly I love this film.

    Directed by: John McNaughton.
Starring: Matt Dillon, Denise Richards, Neve Campbell, Kevin Bacon, Bill Murray.

<<"Listen, I'm gunna be here a while kid, why don't you go up to the highway and catch the bus...and hey Jimmy, people ain't always what they appear to be...don't forget that.">>

The story focuses on a high school counselor, a man of high respect and a great track record. When he is accused of rape by a rich student who is in love with him, things start to crash around him and it is only made worse when a trailer trash girl raises the same allegations. The cops believe that they have framed him and what follows is a twisted story of betrayal, sex and murder.

Its countlessly flawed and I feel that the writers know that, but they do what they can and succeed. Twists come by the minute and successfully surprise, even though they are followed by silly reasons why. What the film aims for, it does well.
One part softcore porn and one part seductive thriller, with some noir undertones in its themes...these things are worked to there advantage and although competently directed, its a little disappointing to not see more of a noir feel in the style.

The acting is B grade as expected and its fun to see the bad acting shine. Denise Richards fits in well with her hammy delivery, but she does manage to maintain quite a sexy persona. Neve Campbell is about the same but keeps her characters devilish charm at a high which works well into the story. The list continues and they are all equally bad in there delivery, but its great to see Bill Murray play so well off his interesting character.

Many have said it and I will say it again...Wild Things is a guilty pleasure. Flawed in many ways, but is a high quality B-grade thriller by keeping the twists coming, the catfights at a high and keeping the suspense flowing all the way through. Naturally its 'so bad, its good', but its also better in some ways.

District Attorney Bryce Hunter: You were supposed to spy on them. Not to film some porn flick!

This movie is amazing. It has a plot containing twist after twist, with characters Hitchcock would be proud of. It is also bordering on the level of soft core porn. Then you can throw in some soap opera drama as well as some over the top situations and other hilarity.

Taking place in Southern Florida, Matt Dillon is a hunky high school counselor that all the kids like. Denise Richards and Neve Campbell are two students, one a bitchy rich girl, the other a trouble making trailer trash girl. Kevin Bacon is also here as a cop. Robert Wagner and Theresa Russell also show up to round out the cast as well.

Problems arise as these two students accuse Dillon's character of rape. It is at that point that Bill Murray enters the scene as a lawyer, who is so funny at everything he does, that his twenty minute cameo is more than welcome.

As the plot moves on, various things occur that show how things are definetely not the way they seem. And that's basically all there is to say without ruining everything.

Suffice it to say, by the end, everything is quite satisfying, but make sure to stay through the credits, because it contains more explanations to the twists that occur.

What would seem a highlight for the film, is the infamous threesome scene, and while it is pretty damn hot, the movie is entertaining in all regards. Kevin Dillon and Matt Dillon in particular, are loving the roles they have, and make them work.

The soundtrack of this movie is perfect as well. Capturing the feel of the setting and playing into the themes of the film.

It's trashy entertainment at its best.

Kelly Van Ryan: [She and Nicole are going to wash Sam's car] So, where's your hose, Mr. Lombardo?

I'll be completely honest, I saw this movie to watch Neve Campbell and Denise Richards get it on. But this movie was way more than that. I was greatly surprised to find the ending full of more twists and surprises than a complicated maze (sorry for the bad analogy). But seriously this movie is quite the mind-fuck, and the cast is quite good, and the acting is surprisingly good due to the genre of the film. All in all a good movie to watch (not with younger children) (and probably not with alot of women) but it is entertaining and thrilling, and exciting.
