November 23, 2009This is a really depressing version of the classic Roald Dahl book which was completely overshadowed and trumped by Tim Burton's newer version. It is, admittedly, a classic though.

November 21, 2009A lot of people I know still prefer this one to the updated Tim Burton/Johnny Depp version even though the latter is a LOT close to Roald Dahl's original book. November 3, 2009Greatesr musical ever. Best child's movie. Best Gene Wilder movie. This movie has many names. It continues with Wilder's witty lines and Charlie's dream of becoming more than a poor boy in a hopeless shack. It is the best child movie ever made in the hsitory of the world.

November 2, 2009Musical mayhem in what could possibly be Roald Dahl's most loved novel. Wilder is the crazy title character and invokes much of the persona of Wonka from the book. Great songs and some classic moments.
