Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Ful...

Jason Thompson, John Benjamin Martin, John Novak, Kimberly Huie, Mariam Bernstein, Michael Trucco, Tara Spencer-Nairn, Victor Webster

Viewers may find some marginal entertainment in the Wishmaster series' fourth entry, which attempts to cast its perverse anti-hero, the Djinn, in a sympathetic light. However, silly plot develo...( read more  read more... )pments and childish splatter effects undo whatever interest is generated by the premise. This time around, the Djinn is summoned by a woman whose boyfriend was crippled in an accident. He assumes the form of her lawyer and offers her the standard three wishes, two of which bring her a healthy settlement and a boost to her sex life. However, the Djinn¹s generosity comes with a price: when he grants the third wish, more Djinn will be released from Hell to bring destruction to Earth. But in order to do this, he must make the woman love his true form (a horned demon). This nominally intriguing idea is bungled at every turn by hamfisted scripting and performances, making Wishmaster 4 a must-see for series completists only. --Paul Gaita

I really liked Michael Trucco's character, he played a very interesting role about a guy who makes desires come true, he's a good actor, but the story needed more action.

wow i have just seen this 4 the 1st time n think that its ok this is nothing special 2 watch but id guess its ok....the special effects throughout the movie are pretty kewl...its just another straight 2 video/straight to dvd movie which never was released at the cinema...this is ...( read more)pretty boring most of the time n its unexiting but i think that part 2 of this is the best 1 out of all the sequels/follow-up's to this series...i think that they should have just left it as a trilogy of 3 but this 1 goes on way 2 long n its pretty boring...

I didn't hate this nearly as much as I thought I would. I kinda liked the plot development of the Djinn being unable to grant the final wish - it was almost an original idea. Too bad the ending sucked ass.

Not the best of the series. Its more of a romantic comedy then horror.
