Third and final entry in the Witchboard series, Peter Svatek's directorial effort is one of poor results. I've always viewed the series as a Kevin Tenney three part in the sense that, he should have made all the entries because Tenney is a very good talented director. However this entry is bland, with little substance. This film looks cheaply made, and add to that poor acting and a poor plot, and you have a film that really doesn't deliver anything. In fact, this is the worst film in the trilogy, and they could have done a better job with writing a better story and the cast could have given better performances. The problem is, is that these straight to DVD titles tend to be bad, and almost intentionally are. I think for this film. They really didn't care how it turned out as long as they completed the Witchboard story. I think that just because a film is straight to DVD, it shouldn't be bad. I mean they could have done so much better than this, but they didn't. The story is really bland and the direction is sloppy. I personally feel as if Kevin Tenney should have rewritten the script and directed this final entry. Clearly passing the director torch didn't help on this film, and the result is a poor third entry to two very entertaining films. If you've loved Tenney's original film, thought the second one was good too, you'll be disappointed that they couldn't find a better conclusion to this trilogy. Add to that cheap effects, a bad script and directing and atrocious cast, and you have a horror film not worth your time.
