This Is My First Year Doing X Country And It Didn't Made Me Feel Anything Like Other Sports Movies Do.
Great film without second doubts. And I feel really happy I had a chance to see a film as inspiring as this one. I fully recommend it to everyone.
I can't even begin to explain how great Billy Crudup was. His best role to date, in my opinion. He was an unstoppable whirlwind, even great at the most unimportant gestures (e.g., the way he pushed his hair off his face) Donald Sutherland was amazing as well, his character was immediately sympathetic.
And we're dealing with a biographical film, a film about Steve Prefontaine who was both a hero and a great athlete, who could have had the greatest career, but instead he had a tragic and unfortunate ending.
ends in the most horrible way with pre dying in his prime of running but is a very good and inspiring life story :)
Steve Prefontaine is my favorite American Athlete! This movie does a great job at telling his story and teaching the lessons he left behind.
Nice bio-pic story of track star/olympian Steve Prefontaine. Can be viewed alone or along with the excellent documentary. "One Day in September".
This Movie weas amazing. Although at times crud with words, Pre shows us and tells us thing that will make you go, "Wow" and when you see him run your mouth will drop the floor. As a XC runner I was glued to the screen as Pre ran on by...
This one is better than "Prefontaine," and I think Billy Crudup looks more like the real Prefontaine too.
This is a great movie.... Steve Prefontaine did not know any limits... what an athlete..... Donald Sutherland is another Icon...... why are the great ones suddenly taken away from us... maybe he really did know his limits
This film, and "Prefontaine" are essentially interchangeable. One does not noticeably outdistance the other, though I believe I prefered this one.
This is one of the best sports movies. Billy Crudup delivers a memorable performance as Steve Prefontaine, who was one of the best American runners of all time. This touching movie provides also an outstanding supporting cast, with one of the most noteable actors, Donald Sutherland. See this movie you won't regret it.
I can endure more pain than anybody on the planet. It's not a Triathalon I train for. In the time trials, my time, I endure for, is to be like all of you.
i love this movie because it reminds me that its me everybody tells me i,m too small but i prove it to them that i can run because i got a big heart
An immeasurably more realistic and well made portrayal of Steve Prefontaine than the Jared Leto version.
Steve Roland Prefontaine, not only the best runner in america. but a hero to the world. RIP Pre, we love you

Prefontaine. He was a prodigy. The line where he sas', you know why I am better than all of these opponents? It's becuase I can hold pain longer then anybody out there.......... Crudup is his usuall under-paid brilliant self.
It didn't exactly thrill me and some things felt incomplete or missing, for example more information about his younger days would have been nice. Still good though.
