Oscar Collins (Jack MacGowran) is a professor who specializes in the behavior and collecting of butterflies. One day, he discovers he can watch his beautiful neighbor Penny (Jane Birkin) through a crack in the wall of his apartment. He is soon overtaken by his voyeuristic tendencies and engages in a series of psychedelic daydreams as he watches the beautiful woman in various stages of her life and lovemaking. The musical score is provided by George Harrison. ~ Dan Pavlides, Rovi

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"It's as much lava lamp as movie, a true head picture from its psychedelic décor [...] to [George] Harrison's music, an often-remarkable mix of rock sounds and traditional Indian instruments."
‑ Keith Phipps, The Dissolve
"Wonderwall should be required viewing for anyone interested in popular culture of the 1960s..."
‑ Sarah Boslaugh, Playback:stl
"In spite of its trippy feel, the basis of the storyline is surprisingly conservative"
‑ Shane Burridge, rec.arts.movies.reviews
