One day, he happens upon a beautiful lass named Amy (Joey Wang Tsu-hsien) and falls head over heels. Amy, of course, is from a fantastically rich family, though she hides this fact from Yan because he hates rich people. When Yan eventually does find a job, it is at the very noodle shop that Amy's dad owns. Yan is stunned when he learns the truth and soon Amy's sundry lies catches up with her.
