No one wants to admit it but we just wanted to get the first hand experience on what it would have been like to be in the towers at the time of the attacks etc. This was an opportunity missed but I feel this would appeal to most Americans because they can relate to the firemans feelings etc and we all no how much Americans talk about their feelings and their dedication to their country, which is good really in times like this. But in places like Europe, we can’t get to grips with all the lovey dovey stuff and basically I just wanted to see what it was like. I’m not being fecicious but that is what I expected. I would have also wanted to see what spin they took on who’s fault the towers collasped. I don’t know whether the states are getting this information but all signs are pointing to bombs being planted. I believe the conspiracy theory now, straight after I watched a youtube video of a fireman running out to a street shouting “there’s bombs in the building!”. Also Bush‘s reaction!!!

OMG!!! R U SERIOUS PPL. COME ON!!! I AGREE WITH THE GIRL WHO COMMENTED BEFORE ME! THEY ONLY DID TWO PPL CAUSE THEY KNOW FIRST HAND. AND THE OTHER FAMILIES MAY HAVE NOT OF AGREED TO BE IN THE MOVIE. AND HOLLYWOOD DIDN'T JUST DO THIS FOR THE MONEY. I CAN'T BELIEVE U'D THINK THAT. IT'S SO PPL CAN ACTUALLY KNOW HOW MUCH COURAGE AND BRAVERY IT TOOK TO ACTUALLY GO IN THERE KNOWING THAT U MIGHT NOT COME BACK OUT. I MEAN, THIS IS FOR THE FAMILIES OUT THERE WHO LOST SOMEONE ON THAT DAY. IT'S SO PPL CAN TRULY KNOW WHAT HAPPENED, HOW IT FELT, AND WHO WAS THERE. IF THEY WOULD'VE DONE IT FOR THE MONEY, THEN THEY WOULDN'T HAVE GONE INTO GREAT DETAIL. I MEAN, THIS MOVIE REALLY TELLS HOW AMERICA IS STRONG. HOW WE ALL CAN COME TOGETHER DURING A CRISIS. I SAW IT, I CRIED. I MEAN, FOR EVERYTHING THOSE FAMILIES WERE GOING THROUGH. I THOUGHT IT WAS A GREAT MOVIE, NOT SAYING WHAT HAPPENED WAS GOOD, I'M JUST SAYING, THAT THEY MADE THIS MOVIE THE RIGHT WAY. AND ONE MORE THING, U CAN'T HATE THE ACTORS EITHER.

This movie was well made. I was reading other comments. People asked why the movie only revolved around those two people. Those two people were the only one's who could trully tell you first hand what it felt like to be there when the towers fell. There were only 20 people taken out of the rubble. And no they couldn't say anything about the people who jumped from the towers....that would be too much. and to add how would anyone know what any of the people up there were thinking. thier not alive to tell thier story. These two men were. They made it. and i think thier story was told in a very good light.

It really is a moving movie, it brought so much raw emotions to the surface and in response to the comments about how it would be boring because it revolves around 2 people, that is only 2 of 20 that survived, it says so at the end.

I think its disgusting that Hollywood have to turn tragedies into money making movies. I think its just awful, what if the parents and families of the actual people who died on that horrible day saw Hollywood only talk about 2 firemen for the duration of the film. How would they feel? Well done Nick Cage, lost total respect.

If a movie is good then it is good, regardless of the perception of those who would go beyond casting doubt, but even hatred for a film that they very likely have not seen. Countless ppl have seen this movie & most of them enjoyed it, regardless of the negativity that this movie has received from certain ppl, many of them who don't like Nicolas Cage.

I haven't seen this movie & I won't rate it until I do. Many ppl rate many movies on here when they don't like the looks of them, but they nonetheless haven't seen them & barely anything irritates me more...

It was a great story about the 2 firemen, but i think it would have been better if it would have been about more of the Events that occured that day Dealing with the world Trade Center.....rather than just 2 firemen, there story was a great one and glad i saw it, but if it was just going to be about them 2, i dont think they should have named it World Trade Center

Using peoples real emotions to sell a sub-par film. Change the date/city/building and the film would still work cos its far too loosley connected to the event.

    Hey guys,
I don't like numbers, but check this out...

How many died that day in WTC?
How many died after that day in Afghanistan and Iraq,
BECAUSE OF THE ATTACK AT WTC?

I don't think the numbers are to be compared...

BUT, it is not right to count dead people in numbers...
Wherever people die, it is not good...
But STILL numbers are not to be compared...

    (Sorry for my English)

I'm sorry, but my fake-Britishness is less naive than yours.

And no, this was not an act of terrorism, it was a planned murder.

Films will always be made about historical events and this is one of them! People will make money from the film, but I think that what we should all remember is that this was a terrible atrocity where thousands of people died from acts of terrorism. Instead of insulting eachother you should be united and speak out about all acts of terrorism. The world has become a dangerous place but that was happening before President Bush came to power. I live in England where we lived with terrorist bombs (from the IRA) and it really is terrible situation to witness. There is never any justification for killing innocent people, no matter what the cause. There were a lot of heroic people in the WTC and we should remember them all.

Sorry guys but I saw this live O.o
It's like watching Passion Of The Christ and people asking you, "Why are you not crying sir?"

My response:"Because I read the book bitch"

And OH WOW, lots of people died WOW. Now if we were to only look at WWI and WWII(Hallacaust)[spelling i know]compared to 9/11......big diference! Also WTF, death, its a fact of life. But yes its still bad how so many died.

And yes weeners, Nicolas Cage is a good actor!

Yes, we totally had our heads up our asses the whole month where we were told and shown over and over again what happened. Maybe you should not proclaim your stupidity when you see intelligent discussion/opinions on a site.

This movie is telling you what an everyday officer went through. The firemen and policemen risk their lives everyday to save people. They were doing their jobs.Did anyone think maybe the movie had to be made to show what happened to the world that day?Maybe you shouldn't comment until you see it.I just can't believe how cold hearted some of you are.

Am I the only one who thinks this movie is fishing for the same "coat-tails" that Back Draft got after the spectacular response of the firemen on 9/11? Maybe I'm a cynic, and maybe I'm a cynic.

Am I not patriotic because I believe this movie is marketed to target patriotistic feelings?

I can be such a dick because I practice. I also think the September 11 attacks had some US Government involvement in them, and definitely the Israeli Government loved it, since now people will turn a blind eye to them murdering innocent Palestinians again simply because they're Islamic. I'm not suprised by the opposition for my extremist beliefs, but the part about the movie that really pissed me off was the fact that it's the second movie about the attacks in a year, and it's an election year, so this seems like a very political move by the Republican party to help them win elections.

Plus, I can not stress this enough....NICOLAS FUCKING CAGE!
