A fun slasher flick with decent acting for a change. Like most horror movies these days there is the occasional lapse in logic, and a few cliches, but the movie was very enjoyable. Biggest complaint would be the "cannibalistic mountain men grossly disfigured through generations of in-breeding." They just looked rediculous. Had they not shown so much of them, or not shown them at all, the movie would have been better. It was also kind of predictable who was going to die and in what order. Still, I would give this a mild recommendation.

It was interesting it is the kind of movie that has you shouting at the characters "Do this, do that, grab her ass, shoot im in the leg, stop breathing, don't make noise!"

One of the better horror movies. There are a couple of tension packed moments in this film, but not nearly as many as in the far better sequel.

Although we have seen things like this before, or at least the same theme exploited over and over again, I found this to be pretty well done and the special effects are stunning!

This was grose but I was intrigued enough to watch it all the way through. It's not really scary unless you look at it as being something that could and has happened in real life.

i love to watch wrong turn over & over. its one of my fav horror flicks of all-time. it has a brillant cast & they make this movie just that more entertaining to watch. this is a very violent horror fllm. u see alot of blood/gore thoughout. some of it made me cringe the first time i watched it but after a while, i get pretty use to it. some parts r still nasty for me to watch. overalll, its a great horror movie i'm sure everyone will enjoy. just one thing if u can handle the gore thats great if not find another movie to watch b/c really this movie is all bout the gore/violence 4/5 stars.

this came out right before the craze for slasher/horror craze when they were re-making the Texas Chainsaw films and things like Creep and Saw were in the pipeline so how does this stand?
Actually, it's not too bad.... it's just not that brilliant either. Everything is predictable as they tend to be and while there are some quite novel ways of getting hacked to death, it is just too familiar to the films that inspired it that it never goes beyond "neat".
If you haven't seen it, you could do worse but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it. -

Wrong Turn has all the ingreients for a typical Scary Teen movie, ie. it's not particularly scary and it's very predictable. 'The Mountain men' weren't very original and I felt needed to be scarier than they were, having said that, this was a lot more bearable than most. I'm not sure I'll hold out for Wrong Turn 2 though.

I really liked this movie. I thought it was going to be a let down, but it was really good. Those mutated cannibals were sick. I loved Eliza Dushku in this film, she was outstanding. Some scenes were actually quite grusome. Like when they found Francine's dead body, with her leg gone. This movie was really good though.

Make no mistake, though : this is 90% by-the-numbers slasher filmmaking, with barely more than the few requisite elements. But its climactic tree chase scene, punctuated by a perfect decapitation, is a horror fan's delight.
If you liked The Hills Have Eyes, you'll dig this-- the tension is sustained for long enough and it never falls int truly laughable territory.
So it kinda woks.
But it kinda sucks, too. -

At first, with Harrington setting the scene by driving around in an unknown territory, makes it quite scary because, being lost is the worst thing ever. But when he comes across annoying characters stranded due to flat tyres, the crappy 'horror' movie begins. With un-romantic couple who get attacked first by unbelievable cannibal hill-billies, whilst they're friends ditch them to find a map, and never returning as if they've forgotten all about their 'friends'.
Chriqui plays a typical character, although probably anyone I know would act like it, an hysterical baby and unable to come to terms with the death of her fiance. Harrington and Dushku, typical strong main characters, although if you get shot in the leg, would you be able to carry on? Typically, also leaving the main characters only to survive and leaving their friends to be masticated by hill-billies (though I shant be telling you how the hillies actually end up) and just sets the scene for a rubbish yet shocking and hysterical horror film. Unless you want to be cringing from the ridiculous acting of the cannibals, It's safe to say that this won't really scare you unless you've seen the Hills Have eyes. -

Another gruesome film, fabulous that's what we all love to see lol (just kidding) we all want to be scared in a way and kept on the edge of our seats. This film definitely did just that, they had the sexy bloke and the sexy girl and of course the sexual tension.
And the scary weird people thrown in. And the question everyone asks in these movies "will they all survive" well watch it and find out
