Plot: A group of reality show contestants find themselves fighting for their survival against a family of hideously deformed inbred cannibals who plan to ruthlessly butcher them all.
This was not A very good movie not near as good as the first it was like it was some sci fi original movie or something it had some ok gore A decent strory the acting was bad and the mutants werent as good as the first one it was like A whole dif film
i wasnt expecting much before i saw this....but wow was i blown away its more fun then the orignal! henry rollins kicked ass! just awsome gore and every thing i hope to see more from joe lynch soon
Splatter flick that's little more then a 'Hills Have Eyes' knock off. I don't remember anything about the first one, outside the fact I wasn't impressed by it.
In this one the group of victims is wandering around the woods because they're filming a new type of reality television program and obviously they picked the wrong forest to film in. The movie is gory, plot moves along at the right pace and the character dialogue isn't bad. Also, they focus on the murderous psycho family a fare bit in this one giving them a family dynamic which was different.
While it may not be original, horror movie fans should find it entertaining.
As expected wasnt as good as the 1st. Does focus more on the story of the weird freaky family which was quite funny in parts. Not bad overall.
For a straight to DVD sequel this movie is pretty damn good. In fact it's better than the first one. The director did a good job with this movie considering it was his first feature film. Really worth checking out for horror fans.
I don't usually like sequels, for most of them are just repeating the same thing, but here the story line is a little different and they focus on the strange family much more than in the first one. Pretty nice!
fucking awsome! i didnt expect much at first...then i expected more soon as i heard the words "henery rollins" so even though the first is one of those good but not great flicks this toped it in a way it had more gore and explosions! so it was coool!!! plus it awnsered a couple things from the first like the old dude and shit like that...and did i say rollins kicked ass?
This is the kind of film that gives West Virginian's a bad reputation! Not very original or scary but if you enjoy gross things and people being picked off, it could be good.
Nice to see a bit of fatherly love as a father passes the bow and arrow to his son to shoot two of the victims while they are strung up helpless!! Entertaining movie.
Reminds me of 80's cheese which of course rocks. So if you like cheesie movies from the 80's you will love this.
It's great that Wrong Turn was made because that caused Wrong Turn 2 to be made!
This sequel is a hell of an upped ante. More bodies, better kills, more original premise, better script, improved effects. For horror fans, the first movie is just a regurguatation of so much that we've seen already, but Wrong Turn 2 allows itself to be self-deprecating and campy, which makes for a much better flick.
There are some fantastic kill sequences in this flick that I won't soon forget. My favorite is when a girl is perfectly halved, and two creatures each drag a half, leaving minimal blood behind (which means that I think it is staged in a way that it knows this is ludicrous having two perfect body halves, so why make that more outrageous by showing us massive amounts of blood so early on?). Because plenty later, we get all the blood splatter we want, and it's mostly the creature's blood.
This flick has actually got some scary moments, some grotesque moments, some funny moments, and some thrilling action moments. A must watch for horror fans.
"So Fucked Up" highlight:
the creatures giving birth
Much better job than the original, why? It not only gives an insight more to the freaks but unlike the first this one doesn't try to be serious...its a not brainner slasher with A LOT of gore/blood and fast paced entertaining with bad acting included :)
I liked this one more than the first. It had more gore, which was kind of gross. And for some reason, Wrong Turn reminds me of The Hills Have Eyes and Wrong Turn 2: Dead End reminds me of The Hills Have Eyes 2. Maybe it's because both of the 2's have Daniella Alonso in it. I have no idea, but they're kind of similar. Anyway, there were some pretty sick scenes. Like when Kimberly was sliced in half at the first. And the mutant parents being put through the grinder. Yeah, it was pretty nasty. And alond side the mutant masturbation and mutant sex, it was a damn good film.
I figured it was not gonna be as good as the first one but it was really good. Erica Leerhsen and Henry Rollins where very good in it. The story was interesting and as a horror movie its blood and gore was decent.
lol I loved this movie..I like it better then the first wrong turn..More blood more gore..The mutant playing with himself really was gross but other then that good movie..
if you like to barf... and never see things as they were again. well, watch thismovie. lose your sanity.
Better than the first for the simple reason that it does not, I repeat, it does not take itself seriously at all. Yes, it's stupid, but it's a smart film masquerading as ridiculous, bloody fun : the guts'n'gore factor is pumped up exponentially, which makes it a hundred times better than recent feel-bad sadism/torture porn flicks. The only thing missing is, aside from, ahem, a screenplay, has to be a little tension here and there, which is the only thing the original can say it had over this one.
Other than that, the kills are excellent-- quite stupid people getting offed quite gorily. There's vertical body-chopping, a sweet double-death, some cringe-worthy stuff and unexpected deaths. Gotta love it.
Why the dreaded Hills Have Eyes sequel was released theatrically instead of this, I'll never know, though.
Like the original, it was gorey to the very end, pushing blood and guts to the extreme. The action gets more intense when a heard of new hilly cannibals are added to the fray, set lose amongst the set of a reality shot filmed in the woods, and the entire cast and crew are systematically slain in the most desturbing ways thinkable. Now if you looking for a thinking mans movie, or an Oscar worthy plot and cast, dont look here. But if your into an explosive bloodbath which defines slasher film then this is for you. Some things were a bit of a cliche, and the acting was poor, but hey its what can be expected in a film such as this, its a horror film that almost mawks itself, and revels in pushing everything to the extreme.
Good movie and very gorey although not as good as the first one. Too many people get killed off and you can kind of guess whats going to happen but all in all a really good film. lots of blood and guts and some really horrific moments.
it was disappointing after seeing the first one
the first one was so good an i kinda expected the same but it was just too much the same only more. everything was just more, more cannibalism, more victims, more blood
and the sex scene omg ott it was just disgusting
i think if you haven't seen the first one it could be good but if you seen the first one it's not worth spending your time on
me and my little cuz Alex were whatching it and a scary part was coming up but I didn't tell him so it came and he screamed so loud ME AND MY MOM started laughING so hard THAT TAERS STARTED 2 COME DOWN OUR CHEEKS!!!
I thought Wrong Turn 2 would be better. I loved the first one so much but the sequel was not as good. I can't remember what is was about. Not good.

i I LOOVVEE this film. iam addicted to horror flics, but this is just plain cool. sure, its gross in some parts, but its good! i've seen it 3 times in 1 week. I LOOOVEE IT! my favourite character is the 'sister' of the deformed frekes. and also Amber and Nina, haha AND also Jonesy.xxxxx
I thought it was good. For me it was better than the first one. The killing scenes were better. The only thing that could have been taken out was the sex scene by the river that was too much. The abnormal females in this movie are crazy. overall i was satisfied with the movie a must watch for halloween.
This film is the goriest this year & probably the goriest horror film in the last couple of years. Not near as good as the first one & the acting & dialog is not that good even the gore at times looks fake but it delivers few cool death scenes. The first one is superior than the sequel at all levels.I still give credit to this director for his ambition to manage to keep this film at a fast pace & make it a gore-fest.I wasn't feeling the film in the beginning because it was too campy but couldn't help to get into the mayhem specially the last 20-25 mins of this film is extremely gory.
Not even Hatchet is as gory as Wrong Turn 2.
This is actually Joe Lynch's first project as a director. What are the chances of him doing wonders with a sequel?
Wrong Turn 2 has also been said to have a lower budget than Wrong Turn (2003). Wrong Turn had a budget of $10,000,000 (estimated) whilst Wrong Turn 2 has a budget of $4,000,000 (estimated)
Loved the 1st movie but looked a bit lowkey (lowbudget) and its also coming straight to DVD what does that tell you, but i guess its worth a look.
