Only Fonda (Janet Montgomery) manages to survive, and she's soon joined by a truckload of escaped convicts also fleeing the ravenous freak. Throw in a cache of stolen money to distract the escapees and an unsuspecting search party, and it's a virtual smorgasbord for Three Finger. My Thoughts: "The gore is great and that's about it. The story is ridiculous, the character's are annoying and the time of the film seems much longer then what it is. As it goes your hoping for all of them to be killed so it can be over with. Not original and not at all worth seeing again. Unfortunately the ending leaves you with the suggestion of another film to come, and I believe there is one. As crappy as this one was, I just know I'll be pulled into seeing the fourth."

  I'm surprised to see that some people actually liked this movie. Let me give you one flaw of this movie that caught my attention (and I can assure you that flaw wasn't the only one): When Chavez (Tamer Hassan) beat the police officer Nate (Tom Frederic) near the river for puncturing the raft and also pushed Alex (Janet Montgonery) as she tried to stopped him. You'll notice that after Chavez ordered everyone, She just stood up and it looked so obvious that she was pretending to lie there. What a cheap acting. She could at least show a bit weakness. Or maybe it wasn't her fault. Might be the director. They tried to make it a horror movie by putting some sickening scene (i.e. eating brains or something like that). This was the cheapest comparing to the first two part. The ending was also irritating. It wasn't any twist (if that were their intention). They should stop making more of it.

  Well they did the teenage/young adults, they did a reality spin, now Wrong Turn takes on some prisoners. This is good, as we have no reason to give a shit about those up for the killing. It removes any need for character development, not usually a plus but we all know why we came to this film. It's a shame they've reduced the mutated hillbilly family to pretty much just one guy. There's needless gore, repetitive chase sequences and a bizarre car scene which is a mix of very bad greenscreen and location work. It was confusing. The ending really pissed me off though, the ultimate in tacked on, thoughtless, middle finger up to the audience endings. Even for something this cheap and quick, they could have at least respected the characters a tiny bit.

  Yup it's just as incredibly bad as everyone says it is but where I seem to differ is that's exactly why I kinda liked it. It's absolute disregard for any kind of professionalism on every level gives it a special so-bad-it's-good charm. Questionable acting, unrealistic dialogue, cheap CG, uneven gore--it's all here and more. With this I think it's safe to say the cannibal/mutant subgenre is offically dead.

  'Wrong Turn 3: Left for Dead' is a definite fall from grace as the filmmakers attempt to include outrages booby traps and fresh death scenes which ultimatly fall flat.

  Ah the (for now) final chapter to the Wrong Turn franchise. Where to begin. I've never really liked this series, but at the same time have always seemed to be entertained by these films. The series as a whole seems to be aspiring to the mediocrity of it's idles. Yes, recycled slasher motifs, bad acting and worse scriptwriting/directing are plentiful in this final installment, just as they were in the first two, and at the end I'm never really sure if I loved it, hated it or was indifferent. The truth is it's probably all three at the same time, so who the fuck knows how I really feel about it. What I like about these films is they know exactly what most horror movie fans want, and it delivers, while not always in the exact way that I like I still can't help but give at least some props to a movie who understands its audience and want's to cater to them. That being said while doing this they also seem to want to put the audience down by insulting the fuck out of its intelligence and really aiming for the lowest common denominator of said audience. Yes CGI gore, unsurprising "surprise" endings and generic characters are the flavour of the day. Meanwhile, this doesn't even feel like a film that belongs to the Wrong Turn franchise. The inbred, mutant , cannibal hillbillies are only there as an afterthought. The film is about something else entirely, but since this is Wrong Turn 3 they have to be there in some capacity. I think I know where this film in particular went wrong, but the same problem existed in the first two installments as well. You know that kid in your 9th grade Math class, that hated math class, had no interest in math class, but still had to go to math class everyday anyways? The one who had no hope of ever actually understanding or appreciating the material being discussed there, but maybe.... juuuuust maybe, might be able to scrape by with a passing grade and move on to the next year's math class. Well this series is that kid. He (or she) has been pulled through the system pushing and screaming. The teacher didn't get anything aside from a pay cheque to teach Math to the kid. The Kid didn't get anything by taking the class except perhaps a D or more likely summer school. And the kids classmates, they were either irratated, bored or indifferent to this kid and his whole struggle to acheive 9th grade math. Not sure if that whole analogy will make sense to anyone but me, but I'll stand by it. For now at least... In short this film isn't "so bad it's good". Its not bad. Its not good. It is very generic and mediocre. Its a little entertaining but whether this is by mistake or on purpose continues to remain to be seen. It also remains to be seen if the people involved even had their hearts and minds in the right place. Was this a valiant fuck up or a shameless cash grab? Were they trying to make a good movie but failed, or trying to make a really bad movie but failed. Who know's. Either way this movie only works when your thinking about it in these terms. Watch it if your bored. Its not the worst movie I've seen this week, it's far from the best as well, but I really don't think it gives a shit anyways. This movie is destined to fall into the realm of obscurity before long, if it isn't there already, and really, who cares anyways. The people who brought you this feature sure as fuck don't. TOTAL FUCKING NIHILISM.

  Unlike The Hills Run Red I was more than willing to overlook this film?s many flaws because I was kept entertained.  It seems that despite everyone?s efforts in front of and behind the camera, I liked it anyway.  It truly looked like no one cared at all during this production (except the unibrowed actor playing Chavez.  God bless that overacting man).  Yet it moved at a decent pace and had good gore.  You could do worse, but not by much.

  Third in the cult-ish horror series. The first Wrong Turn started a new wave of old school style horror and saw horror eventually become very popular again. A second, although not as good, pleased certain horror fans who just enjoy a bit of gore and brutality with the odd bit of nudity thrown in. And they'll be pleased again as Left for Dead serves up the same kind of mayhem as the previous films; the first 5 minutes have at least 3 cool killings and a big pair of tits! Not great by any means but still fun, gory and trashy late night horror!

  Even by lazy DTV sequel standards, Wrong Turn 3 : Left for Dead stands out as an unfathomably awful film. It truly has nothing to do with the slipshod trashiness of the first film, nor with the gaudy splatter fun its surprisingly decent second serving presented back in '07. This relentlessly terrible cash-in could quite possibly rank among the lousiest motion pictures I have ever seen, even though I hesitate to call it a movie on its own. I cannot recall anything remotely positive about my viewing experience, let alone a couple of chuckles at the magic crappiness of the CGI work on the would-be 'shocking' deaths. This is the kind of film that makes you depressed at all the time, money and ressource that was wasted on its production, and that makes you even more depressed to have lost own precious hour and a half. This is a gigantic finger to all horror fans out there, and absolutely nothing else.
