I only watched about the first 15 minutes, I just couldn't get into it.
Let me decode Ang Lee's deep actions: (1) The mother's reaction is actually too sad to leave the mess at the end; (2) The father was so fed up that he have to raise his hands and "give up" when the film ends.

excellent gay film, cross cultural, interracial gay relationship! ang lee is excellent director!
Ang Lee's best film, and Ang Lee's greatest gay film. And also a really subtle political satire with a completely amazing ending that many people fail to get. Lol.
In theory this looked good.. but the acting was average and it seemed to drag on a bit too long. Not all bad though and as this is seen as the precursor to Brokeback Mountain, it does an okay job.
