"We live to be rejected by the one who had been saved by us. "

Well ,I can consider X-MEN as one of the most exciting superhero movie of all-time .
With that kind of super-human's stories packaged in surreal ways , excitement . Good actors , futuristic cinematography and score , this movie isn't eye-candy enough . If you compared to another futuristic movie such as Michael Bay's The Island , X-MEN lost its fanciness .
But , with such jaw-dropping casts , X-MEN just very worth it .
From the original wolverine player , Hugh Jackman , who was extremely cool and unforgettable . Famke Janssen as Jane Grey , James Mardsen as Cyclops , Patrick Stewart as the irreplaceable Prof. X , Ian Mckellen as Megneto , Anna Paquin as the best Rogue player who always shows us adorable scenes with Wolverine ,Halle Berry as the white-haired Storm(But , surely she did not impress us in this movie) ,and of course the unforgettable and the most femme fataleRebecca Romjin as the blue skinned Mystic and those silicones are perfect as parts of the costumes.

Put Halle Berry in anything and I'll watch it (Voted sexiest woman)... and Rebecca Romijn scorched my eyeballs...I think the movie was good too : )
-
loved all of them! but the first one is the best love how it all happens... does help having good old Hugh Jackman dancing around without his top on ;)

I thought this movie was a lot better than I thought it would be. Although, I am not a fan of the comic, so I had no idea what to expect. Hugh Jackman did a great job acting as a vicious animal and then a fatherly, caring man. His one-liners were also hilarious.
The ideas used in this movie were very original and the special effects were great. The conflict between 2 characters over a love interest was very humorous. I thought the characters were developed well and the costumes and sets were great. This movie is a great one to see with everyone. -
The was the characters are introduced worked out well. Hugh Jackman as Wolverine, could not have been better!! Loved the first film, can't say that for the rest of the series!!
-
if i had one power like the genetically transformed humans who can mutate themselves into something supernatural the it'll have to be 'Rogue' i mean this girl can drain up anyone's powers!! awesome ain't it.......
well the first part of this series was'nt all bad i mean it was o.k
but X-men: the last stand was waaaayyyyyy much better consider the story sypnosis, the direction of the movie, the special effects.....well it was worth watching! -
Great movie, great introduction to the X-Men franchise and for people not familiar to the comic. Hugh Jackman was the perfect choice as Wolverine and Patrick Stewart as Professor X. Bryan Singer stayed true to the comics origins and spirit.

Really loved it. Unfamiliar with the comics, I was worried I'd be initially dumbfounded, but luckily the film catered to both X-Men fans and newcomers alike. The story was expertly written - it was well-paced and intelligent, and interwoven throughout were some pretty serious and complex themes about oppression, which really impressed me. There was just the right amount of action, which I thought was handled well because it was overt but not gory. My one criticism would be that it was probably too Wolverine-centric. It would have been nice to see more of the female characters, particularly Storm (who was given significantly less screen time than I would have thought) and Jean Grey. Since this is a series, though, I'm hoping the women will be more deeply explored in the sequels.

Finally got to see the ending of this movie! I expected better but it was still okay. I really liked Anna Paquin- I don't think I've seen her in anything before? I could be wrong.. I liked how Wolverine protects her- it's so cute especially since he obviously has a hard time being nice to anyone. The outfits were fantastic too! What you would expect from a super-hero/comic movie.

Honestly i don't really remember seeing this but I remember that chick that kills people with her touch thats sad... oh and Hugh Jackman OMG i want him in my pants

Another great series of superhero adaptations began with it.
Hope to see a lot of others mutants in the 4th one. -
I dunno bout aneone else but I thought Mystique was pretty hot, haha well aneways Hugh Jackman played a hell of a wolverine.
-
a better adaption of the xmen you couldnt have asked for.brian singer brought the super heroes slap bang into the modern every day world and forcad them to deal with the fact that they were different.this movie alone is the reason the comic books are enjoying such a success in the cinemas today.

More character developement in this film than it's sequels, despite there being less action I think it's the strongest of the three.
-
Awesomefrom the opening scene. X2 was so stellar it took something away from this 1st installment, but here you can see the seeds of what would come. Bryan Singer achieved the impossible- He made a great film using multiple superheroes and, with the exception of Haley Barry, was dead on!

Bryan Singer's first attempt at the seemingly impossible task of bringing X-Men to the silver screen, like Tim Burton's original Batman before it, was something of a heroic failure. I was a huge fan and collector of X-Men comics as a teen, but I think trying to cram 37 years of X-Lore into one film would've been impossible and any script writer trying to do so would be insane. So what we have is a rather diluted and superficial summarization instead. Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellern were obvious choices for their parts and their scenes together are of course, quality. In fact the opening scene set during the holocaust is easily the best and sets up Magneto's character and motivations perfectly. I have to say Hugh Jackman made a pretty good fist of Wolverine too, and the political backdrop of McCarthyist mutant witch hunts was an interesting one. Unfortunately the rest of the film does not measure up; all the rest of the characters and their relationships are superficially realized at best; turning Magneto into some kind of sub-par Bond villain was a mistake, as was turning Sabretooth into a growling half wit and the inclusion of Toad, who was always, frankly, rubbish. Add a half baked plot, clumsy exposition and some painfully bad dialogue and this film is best viewed as a precursor to the infinitely better sequel. As a film in it's own right, it simply isn't very good.

I grew up reading X-men comics and watched the cartoons religiously so when I heard there was going to be a movie of my beloved x-men characters I was a tad skeptical to say the least. Fear not fellow fans, you can stop shaking in your capes -- this is one comic-book adaptation that gets it right. It's a film X-Men fans can embrace and action fans in general can appreciate. It has emotion and a solid story to go with its mayhem, and the comics' central themes aren't betrayed.
Singer stresses character and feeling over mere spectacle. X-Men ripples with romantic rivalries, team loyalty, self-sacrifice and sheer, heart-stopping heroism. At heart, that's what superheroes are about -- or should be: not the powers, but the flesh-and-blood people who wield them.
X-Men is a distinctively absorbing entertainment, offering just enough popcorn thrills for mass audiences and just enough chewiness for hardcore sci-fi fans.
Its an ideal balance between intriguing characters, spectacular special effects, and ultra-cool comic book style. -
Better then the second one which was boring. This one adds more feelings and depth to the characters.
-
On behalf of all X-Men readers, I'd like to apologize for Famke Janssen and Halle Berry being in this movie.

I was a fan of the comics before seeing this movie, but afterwards, my love fir X-men was definitely sealed.
Wolverine is the number one character, of course, but it doesn't shine through too badly in this film. Halle Berry's acting as Strom is a bit stiff, and altogether not all characers are fully explored (Sabertooth among many).
Nonetheless, this movie looks and acts just finely; the plot is solid, the characters just deep enough to keep themselves interesting, and the chemistry between them, while nothing surprising, still gifts the movie with a lively element.
The senior actors Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen create a fine balance between Professor X and Magneto; their steady interaction is an inspiring thing to watch. -
The first one is my favorite cuz no one dies :D and the first movies are always the best......i love storm shes my favorite mutant :P
-
It wasn't as good as some other superhero movies, but it wasn't terrible. I thought it was pretty good. I would be interested in seeing the sequels. There was one part when Magneto drained his power to Rogue...and then afterwards was using his power again to stop Wolverine from saving everyone...and I was like..I thought his powers were just drained. So I don't know about that..but I thought it was well done..and it poked a little humor back at the original comic book with the line of Would you rather wear yellow spandex or something like that.

Rooted firmly in reality, and reflecting real world issues (READ: mutants = gays in most of the franchise), comic book movies shook off the stigma that Batman & Robin thrust upon the genre and proved their merit as serious minded action adventure films. A, mostly, well-chosen ensemble and smart writing helped the new comic book film resurgence we're currently in. Blame it, and love it for that.

The characters are a bit two-dimensional, but considering the origins of the movie, that's not surprising. Still think it should have been called Wolverine, 'cause that's who is the focus of this movie.
