Shinichi Okuda's Yakuza Busting Girls: Duel in Hell is a low budget action adventure that doesn't have a whole lot to offer.
The Yakuza oriented plot isn't that deep and the film actually forces itself out to the 70 minute mark. Yes, a movie that doesn't even reach a quarter after an hour drags at multiple places. Set in a modern day town, the story also mixes in a little bit of a Western style to it, which in the end, isn't as great as it sounds; although it does setup the ending quite nicely.

The violence and effects are of low budget mixed some brutal slayings. The action is one of the few highlights, even though it isn't anything to make time for. The swordplay contains some decent choreography and so does the gun-play, which contains some bullet catching.

There isn't much to the acting. Asami is good for what she is, but the nature of her character doesn't do much for the film. Hitomi Miwa has a good character, but she is under-utilized. The rest of the supporting cast is made up of wacky annoying Yakuza characters.

Simply put, Yakuza Busting Girls: Duel in Hell is what it is. A film to pass on.
