I'm Louis Koo. I'm an actor.

Look at me looking off in the distance. Look at me sitting here looking at a wall. Look at me lying here in my bed snuggling up to my wife. Golly I must really love her. The scene with my wife shows that I am a family man who loves his wife so when I...( read more) start killing people you will be conflicted about hating me for the complete weenie I am. Oh but wait. When I was lying there with my wife and you were looking at me did you notice that there was a little tension there. That's what a good actor I am. Of course I get up in the middle of the night, sit in a chair and stare at a wall for you. I made you think a little bit even though it had nothing to do with anything. I'm just intense. But it's not my fault. Blame the director for thinking it would be a good idea to make another movie about nothing but intense shots of me being intense. Thank you.

Do you like my sideburns? I'm kind of a weird looking guy but I've stylized it to look as if it's intentional. That's part of my overall intensity. I look the same and do the exact same thing in all my movies. I just look intense.

I'm Louis Koo. I'm an actor.

The synopsis on Flixster is actually incorrect. Accident (AKA Assassins) revolves around a group of assassins who kill their targets by staging the murder to look like an accident.

Accident is outstanding. I'm happy to see the Hong Kong film industry back to it's best here, wit...( read more)h an original and intelligent story. The second half of the movie could have followed a conventional path of a crime thriller but thankfully it didn't. I don't like to read spoilers so I try not to add any myself. Accident is as clever and as fresh as Infernal Affairs was and I imagine an American remake is already being planned.

I wasn?t expecting anything spectacular from this film and with an opening scene with some of the fakest blood I have ever seen I was ready to dismiss this as another Chinese movie that just uses blood and anger as a tool for drama, but as I found after watching more of it I was ...( read more)very wrong. The premise is good and interesting and the director, Pou-Soi Cheang, could have overdone the death scenes and made an adrenaline infused camera shaky fest but he doesn?t. Surprisingly I found yourself moved by this story and the character development of the main character Brian, Louis Koo, is handled very well. This is good but where this movie succeeds most of all is in the camerawork, cinematography if you will, Cheang uses the locations fully to his advantage and his camera shots are a feast for the eyes because there is almost always two things going on in one camera shot. Some confusion in the characters and a narrative arc that can either go two ways keeps you guessing but not without some confusion early on. However overall this is one of the best Chinese films I have ever seen.

This is like a "Final Destination" film, except it's actually clever. This is unlike any Hong Kong film we se nowadays. It's very original, and unlike Final Destination, it's not about blood and gore, but about the tone of the film.

The film is set in Hong Kong, and it's abou...( read more)t a group of assassins, led by The Brain (Louis Koo). The other members are Fatty (Lam Suet), Uncle (Fung Shui Fan) and Woman (Michelle Ye). This gang of killers make their work look like accidents, so no one knows that it was actually murder. However, when Fatty is killed caused by an apparent accident, The Brain believes that someone wants him killed as is trying to use his method to take him down. He thinks that his nemesis is Chan Fong Chow (Richie Ren). The Brain begins to investigate and find out why this person wanted him killed. We haven't seen many scripts like this, and this one is very clever. They've focused a lot on the main character. I loved how they made the characters of the gang have nicknames instead of actually names. The Brain is a very interesting character. He doesn't have much of a relationship with his co-workers. I don't think the writers cared much about the characters or relationships. What they wanted to do most was make a very intriguing story, and this is one, but I had a problem with the climax. It is a reasonable twist, but to me, I found it boring and a bit anti-climatic. I think that's just me though. But, I still think that this is a very good plot.

The film is very entertaining. The accident scenes are staged so well, and shot beautifully. The director isn't after violence with these accidents. They may seem a lot like a death scene in Final Destination, but this isn't bullshit, because there is actually some logic here. I loved how the accidents are worked out, and it's very subtle in the way they execute this stuff.

The acting is good. Louis Koo throws himself into the role of The Brain with gusto. Richie Ren is a bit over the top as the apparent nemesis. The Brain's gang is played by really good actors. I haven't seen much of Michelle Ye, but she was really good in this, and I'd like to see more of her acting. Lam Suet and Fung Shui Fan are also very good. A great cast this film had.

This is a smart and logical version of Final Destination. It does tend to get a wee bit slow around parts, but it is mildly entertaining. The accident scenes are very impressive and so are the actors. Soi Cheang has done a pretty good job with this film. It's subtle and quite intriguing. It's not perfect, but it's not a disaster. I had a good time with it.

there's no such thing as accident at first, but at the end it was all a fantasy? not really a good ending

    Just fine, average acting....pretty dissapointed....
The beginin of the movie is very good, it really create an intensify mood like the human-made 'Final Destination' accident....
But too bad, the story did not keep on stressing to this direction, but instead it focus only the ...( read more)psychological element of the main character, played by Louis Koo....
Some weird and non-mainstream shooting style, pretty boring in fact....not a suitable movie to be watched in cinema....

Nicely shot, but the story could barely sustain my interest for the full ninety minutes.

Really interesting concept with well-shot scenes of accidents and (murders). The actors were great with expressing themselves despite the lack of dialogue. The ending was pretty anti-climatic though, and there were many puzzles left that got the audience wondering why those stuff...( read more) happened.

I like the plot because the way they arrange is a very different story altogether. Hopefully will triumph at next year's award season for director, picture, screenplay, actors...

This will be a golden year for Louis Koo as he has five movies releasing in cinema. May be this one ...( read more)and Overhead is the best of all!

Michelle Ye & Fung Shui Fan have been quite active recently.

Although having child now, being a father doesn't change Richie Ren's life at all.

Nominated for Venice Film Festival 2009 Golden Lion and open in Toronto Film Festival 2009.

The idea of the story was good... when I was watching "Murderer" I was actually thinking of a plot similar to this one (that could have saved the movie from merciless criticism, trust me). But the ending was a bit too abrupt... and some of the so-called "accidents" barely looked ...( read more)like accident! Btw, I really can't understand why Louis Koo looked almost the same as his role in "Overheard"...
