  I know, I know - this is disposable Hollywood pap. And yet, it was kind of good. I liked seeing Kristen Bell with two legends (Sigourney Weaver and Jamie Lee Curtis), and Betty White was the cherry on top. Fun, couply movie for... couples... but not without some good laughs. The first hour is pretty solid before it drips into Hallmark territory in the end, but this film was much more entertaining than I expected.

  Wow, I can't believe how bad this movie was. It doesn't work on any level, even as a basic comedy! So many great actresses completely wasted on this cliche tale of post-High School prepubescent drama that no one should take for a grain of salt. It's not anything it thinks it is, funny, insightful, emotional, witty; just... no. None of that. The ONLY reason I made it through 1 hour and 45 minutes of this utter garbage is because of my respect for Weaver and Bell.

  This is a fun, mildly funny, but pretty entertaining chick flick. Kind of like a tame, grown up version of "Mean Girls." Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver are both great as old high school rivals. It's not often that women in their 50's are in comedies anymore, and they both nailed it perfectly. I'd even go as far as to say they outdo their younger counterparts Kristen Bell and Odette Yustman(what kind of name is that?). Bell is better here than she was in "When in Rome", which was a train wreck. Betty White is in a few scenes, and does her usual awesome old lady act. Also, any movie that has Hall & Oates performing is pretty badass just from their shear level of awesomeness. I didn't expect much from this, and only got it because I thought Emily would enjoy it. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how entertaining this simple chick comedy was.

  The first time I reviewed this, I was a little harsh. Upon subsequent viewings, I've come to enjoy it despite its flaws. A decent premise for a comedy, loaded with a good cast (including the combined hotness of Odette Yustman and Kristen Bell!). But the film doesn't quite live up to the sum of its parts. There are several sequences I'm sure the filmmakers thought were absolutely HILARIOUS... but they weren't. The dance rehearsal dance-off, the entire rehearsal dinner toast, any scene with Betty White, a lot of unnecessary slapstick.... Those bits just fall flat, yet go on forever. I enjoyed the movie, but it was trying way too hard in parts. Unfortunately, it was another financial flop from Kristen Bell. As much as I want her to break through and be a star, I'm not sure how many more chances she'll get to pick a worthwhile starring project.

  Light hearted, frequently amusing, and fun chick flick. Definitely chock full of familiar faces. Not an academy award winner, but enough silliness, romance, and charm in the right places to make this enjoyable.

Sadly she doesn't get as much screen time as I would have liked. Considering the cast you would think the film would be quite funny. Not so much the case here. I found it to be more cheesy then funny. The acting was actually good, but that's not surprising since you have some really well known great actor's in this film. Unfortunately it's the story and direction that makes this film fall flat."

  Hilarious and an adorable movie. Kristen Bell has always been a fave of mine :) Odette, Jamie, Sigourney & Betty had great performances as well :) Definitely watch this one :)

  Malicious, but turned out pretty cute.. after I hated the whole thing. I could relate to the whole high school bully thing. This movie has some laugh out loud parts. Worth a watch.

  I went into this one expecting a bad movie based on the reviews of others. And yes, it was all true, it is not the best movie. Kristin Bell has a very likeable presence which seems to keep me coming back, hoping against past evidence that this time, she'll be in a good one. However, it is not all bad. As a movie to watch at home on a quiet weekend, you could certainly pick worse. If I paid full price to go to the cinema, I think I would be annoyed, but I picked this up half price as a rental, so really I have no grizzles. Harmless enough movie about a young woman, Marni, (Kristin Bell), who discovers her old high school rival is about to marry her brother. Marni was a geek back in school and Joanna (Odette Yustman) made her life a living hell. Now it appears that Joanna has reinvented herself and no longer remembers Marni. Or does she? What follows is one and a half hours of mild laughs and some cringes. Especially when it turns out that Joanna's aunt Mona (Sigourney Weaver) made her own mother's (Jamie Lee Curtis) life a living hell back in high school. Good cast and reasonable story lift a not so good movie into something watchable and almost enjoyable, despite some of the stupidity that launches into disbelief at times. (ie. the wedding scene. What the hell??).

  It was just....ick. There have been some really, and I mean really, shitty comedies lately, all geared towards shock and awe. (Case in point: Betty White is everywhere) The cast of super talented people, including Sigourney Weaver, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kristen Bell should have knocked this out of the park with their finely tuned comedic chops, but it just severly bombed. Odette Yustman could not get the mean girl act down without flavoring it with cliches and boring backstory. The plot was ridiculous, as the rivalries between all these women were unfounded and not fully explained, making the interaction stale and pedestrian. I do give props to Kyle Bornheimer as an obsessed ex, played with great timing and original acting. Also the chemistry between Bell and newcomer Sean Wing was the high point of the film. Just needed more follow through.

  Pretty much, this film is all about a bunch of girls who hate each other but eventually like each other, wow! This film is more annoying than anything, and the ending is way too predictable to have sympathy for. However, the only thing salvageable from this film was the fact that there were a few moments saved by Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver towards the end, with their surprisingly average acting. I don't know why this cast chose this film, but it must have been for another reason than thinking that tis could have actually been good. It is one of the worst films of 2010, but I have definitely seen worse. You Again has been watched once by me and even that was too much to handle. 10 Minutes of this film was decent, the other 95 minutes was awful. I do not recommend this film, even if you have seen every other good film from 2010, time to move backwards and hit up some other years!

  The second hopeful attempt by Disney to launch Kristen Bell as a romantic-comedy star. Sadly, the first crack was <i>When In Rome</i>... The good news is <i>You Again</i> is better in comparison, but only just: a game, capable cast struggle with what's basically a reheated stew of <i>Mean Girls</i>, with chunks of other comedy tropes. This upmarket catfight is a light and easy chick flick, thanks to the mix of aforementioned new generation starlets cast opposite veterans like Jamie Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver.

  Blandly pleasant. That's the most positive thing that can be said about You Again. It's the kind of movie that's made to be played as an in-flight movie. Safe, guaranteed to offend absolutely no one, and completely disposable. It's a bit of a shame to have a cast this great given so little to work with. I'm a huge Kristen Bell fan. She's a very attractive, talented, and funny young actress that deserves much better than the last couple of movies she's been in. Odette Yustman is another appealing young actress that's waiting for a breakthrough role while starring in mostly middling movies. Jaime Lee Curtis and Sigourney Weaver both have lists of good movies that stretch a mile long. It looks like from the special features that they all had a ball making You Again, but it won't be going on the highlight reels for any of these women. The cast really is the only reason to check this out. The first half of the movie is as formulaic as anything you've probably ever seen. The laughs are few and far between (I literally forgot that this was billed as a comedy, on occasion). Really, the only genuine laugh I found was due to a truly cringe-worthy rendition of "Every Woman in the World" by Kyle Bornheimer. The latter half of the movie was slightly more entertaining, but that's not saying a whole lot. I actually feel like I'm being pretty generous with my review because I like Kristen Bell so much. Watch You Again if you feel so inclined, but you probably won't remember much about it twenty minutes later.

  Sitcom level shenanigans with an A level cast. Kristen Bell has an appealing screen persona but she is dwarfed whenever Jamie Lee Curtis or especially Sigorney Weaver is in the frame. Too bad they aren't focused on more in the story it would have helped the film. Betty White is cute in her too few scenes but is not used as effectively as she should be. Worth watching for the cast but you'll forget almost as soon as it over.

  Nothing more than a popcorn movie to watch on your house on a boring night. Funny story because this actually happens but it's not a great movie it's just simple and decent. Marni (Kristen Bell), a new Vice President of a large Public Relations Agency, is returning home for her brother Will's (James Wolk) wedding. Marni discovers that his bride Joanna (Odette Yustman) is her former arch nemesis in high school who made her life a living hell. Joanna is now an angel in her brother's eyes, absolutely not the memories that Marni has of her tormentor. All of this is compounded by the fact that the bride's wealthy Aunt Romona (Sigourney Weaver) flies into town and comes face to face with Marni's mother Gail (Jamie Lee Curtis), who it turns out has an old high school score to settle with Gail. Marni must protect her brother by showing him Joanna's true colors before he makes the biggest mistake in his life. The claws are about to come out.
