    Not the best Bond there is, due to the highly unlikley nature of the movie, spaceships being devoured by another spaceship etc etc... but surely an action movie in it own right, including the legendary "Little Nelly" dog fight in the skies, and the last battle scene int he volcan...( read more)o.

    Enjoy vintage Bond... shaken, not stirred.

    ninja bond. while some parts defy logic and are just plain silly, this is still a solid addition to the bond canon. the reveal of blofeld is a classic bond moment and the battle at the end between ninja's and spectre thugs is great.

    Truly amazing, a fucking classic. kissy suzuki is the best bond girl in my opinion lol @ dr.evil

    My fav Bond flick...set in the East which is different for a start and having loads of gadgets and action all the way through.
    OK so having Connery disguised as an Asian man is really stupid but the whole ninja training camp and the intro of little Nelly is pure genius :)
    You hav...( read more)e the classic Llewelyn gadget line up, lots of ninja action and a brilliant battle at the end inside a volcanic base. Its now also interesting to see Japan way back in the 60's, almost historic haha
    Not too much girlie action for me in this one as its purely about the action and boys own adventure really, but you do get another classic villain in Blofeld (again??) and his cat stroking haha plus he has the piranha pond in his office too....sweet.

    You Only Live Twice is Connery's last Bond film before his first retirment of playing the character. It's also the first Bond film to have an elaborite villians lair. The volcano fortress is pretty cool. Donald Pleasence as Ernesto Blofeld is probaly the best ingrediant in the fi...( read more)lm. Although he has little screen time.
    I found YOLT to be a pretty underwhelming Connery entry. Dont get me wrong its a cool film and heads above any Moore Bond film, but it definatly doesnt stand up to the entries that came before it.

    It is Bond, James Bond, a British agent played by a Scottish actor... This is one of the better older 007 movies

    The idea of Bond heading to Japan, terrific! The idea of having to have be trained as a ninja, terrible! I don't know what happen, maybe he was running out of steam, but Connery defiantly dropped the ball somewhere. It could have the producers and not Sean. Sean just lazily walks...( read more) through the movie not giving a damn if he's 007 or not. Sure there are elements that help the movie move along. Definitely the little nellie sequence and the discovery of SPECTRE #1 Blofeld! Aki and Kissy make good Bond girls, but it save. Tiger or should I say the japanese version of M? Bond faking his death to confuse SPECTRE, what?! Once you wrap your head around all this, the movie picks up. As I said before Sean moves at a slow pace and the movie does too. But hey, its my review. Not one of Sean's best. Of course only time would tell till everybody's favorite Bond return in other adventure. They didn't have to wait long. Four years later Bond in the form of Connery returned in a much more upscale adventure!
