This musical comedy is the last film Shirley Temple made for 20th-Century Fox. She plays an orphan adopted by a retired vaudeville family who have moved to a small town to find peace and quiet. At first the townsfolk snub the family. Then a big storm hits and the father becomes a hero. To further foster feelings of good will, the family then puts on a spectacular show for the town. The film features clips from some of Temple's earlier films to chronicle her character's past.

Critic Reviews from Rotten Tomatoes

"Interesting musical about liberal young people in revolt against small town conservative economics; good direction by Allan Dwan."
