Is the best out of all of the Yu-Gi-Oh's. Funny expecially when Tristan say's "I don't want your mummy!" and when Kiba says "You're ganna attack me with a cream puff and an elf."
I'm always a little wary when it comes to films based on series so I never expect too much, but this time I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It may be due to the fact that it has been long time since I last watched the series and it brought back some good memories, but I think the film was quite satisfactory.
Yet another Pokemo and Card Captors clone, Yu Gi Oh is one of the strangest movies ever made, for its totally nonsense story about a boy king who somehow can control these card monster things. In the movie, he battled the dreaded Anubis. Ooh. If you're 8, you might get it. Any older and a sort of banal brainwashing sets in, causing nausia and mental impairment. Ha. (This is for the badly dubbed and butchered American version).
Ok, it's YGO and of course the card game. I was looking forward to some ancient Egyptian images and gods and sand and gold and pharaohs, but... I'll have to settle with The mummy for that, ne? Blue Eyes Shining Dragon- my hero!! At least LittleKuriboh made good use of it XD
It was amazing!! and i know beacuse i am a true Yu-Gi-Oh!-fan!!! i recomend this movie for yugioh-fans and foor those who like monsters ,dragons and mummies!! XD
Well, the movie could have been better, but I absolutely LOVE the anime - both the original and GX. Characters that I like are... original: Pharoah, (Yami) Joey, and Bakura; GX: Jaden, Aster, Syrus, (I just can't help but like the annoying, wimpy side-kick) Chazz, (I know he's a jerk and a snob, but he's hilarious when he's being mean to his Ojama cards!) ...*clears throat* Anyway... this movie's pretty good, although if you don't watch the anime it will be a bit hard to follow.
If I was rating the English dub, it'd get 1/2 a star...if you like Yugioh, get the Japanese version. As with most anime, everything is superior. Although this movie was contracted by American companies, the Japanese version still has scenes the English one doesn't!!
I actually liked it... with your evil guy and he was all like 'grrrr' and then your man with the hair was all like 'yeah'... and then the good guys won and everything was exactly the same as at the start of the film... I'm strange...
Well, it took forever just to get the main villain to arrive...And that was pretty sucky. Why did he hate the Pharaoh, anyway? They just threw in a villain to make the movie more interesting. And Anubis is the Lord of Mummification, not the Lord of the Dead! Inaccurate AND boring! But since I love Yu-Gi-Oh! and since this movie was made mostly by lousy 4Kids, I'll give it some mercy. Pretty good attempt at Yu-Gi-Oh!, but I'd rather watch the series.
This is for ALL yugioh fans to see! Absolutely amazing art work and voice acting, but the best part is seeing those new and powerful yugioh cards!! If you're a HUGE yugioh fan like me, then this movie should be on the top of your list!
Yu-Gi-Oh! He's the King of Games! This is certainly the king of anime movies! I loved every second of it, and for me that's rare. Poor Kaiba, though. I was on his side. But Bakura needed a cameo at least.
if you ever had to watch a movie about a childers card game then watch this one i give it 5 stars wait thats the abriged series one that i give 5 stars woops
Something only fans of the show would really enjoy. While the entire movie is an improvement over the TV series, this really didn't justify itself as a theatrical release. As a guilty pleasure, I enjoyed watching it, but it just isn't that good of a movie.
With all the hilarities and plot twists of the show plus the first appearances of the Toon Dark Magician Girl and Toon Gemini Elf, this movie was a hit with me!
this a great movie, and they did a good idea by making the timeline take place after kaiba`s tournament. The pink obelisk and the blue eyes shining dragon were great cards and so were the rare metal dragon and the dark sorcerer of black magic, also magician valkyria was a cool card too.
Anubis seems like the toughest villain yugi has faced since maximillion pegasus who makes his appearance,he has revealed to have survived season 1 after yami bakura took out pegasus`s millinium eye.
Yugi was braver and more intense then ever, and this is definetly the next pokemon movie in theaters, having called it yugioh the movie and then giving a bonus title called the pyramid of light just like the 1st 5 and only 5 pokemon movies released in theaters.
Too bad the series is done, but i`ve read season 1 and most of season 2,and have read volumes 1,2,and 3 of the final season manga.
this movie is intense and will be enjoyed by all ages.
