Based on a true story set on the Polish/German border. It is a tale of the rise and fall of Zyga, a young Polish man who wants to take charge of his life after the fall of communism, but in a time of chaos and moral anarchy, unwillingly becomes a gangster. Zyga is a witness to the complete degradation of life around him. The promised land never comes to his home town, while the Germans across the border seem to have it all.
