This teen comedy is right up there with Sixteen Candles and American Pie. Scott Baio's teen idol days were getting bigger after this movie came out. So much better stuff could have been done with this; I mean the premise is something that 8-12 year olds would be interested in, but they have to dirty it up (with marijuana, sex at school, lots of cursing) for no apparent reason. It added nothing and actually detracted from what could have been a much more enjoyable film.
