    Bit rubbish but quite funny!

It took way too long before they got to the "dubious medical experimentations".

What wonderful nonsense. I keep hoping someone will release it under it's American title (and scratchy, 42nd St print) Dr. Butcher, MD.

"I could easily kill you now...but I'm determined to have your brain!"

Also known as "Dr. Butcher, M.D." (the M.D. stands for, of course, medical deviate) this film is an ammalgamation of mid-to-late 70's Italian horror. The movie is at once a slasher film, a cannibal film and...( read more) a zombie film with copious ammounts of nudity thrown in. The entire concoction is absolutely laughable, but that is part of the fun. This one does not take itself seriously at all, and opts for an "everything but the kitchen sink" approach that makes it just darn fun.

In no universe could this ever be considered a good film, but as far as bad films go this one is quite a lot of fun.

Also known as Dr Butcher M.D. this film is another classic by Sir Ian McCulloch. I couldn't mention any favourite parts of this one, every frame is a masterpiece. Awesomeness in movie form.

I keep hearing about how good this is, but I honestly couldn't stand it and I had to turn it off.

What more could you ask for in a horror movie. This one has a mad scientist, zombie, cannibals, gore, insane ways of killing people, an operating table scene, some cheesy lines, some bad acting. This should be a horror fan's holy grail.

Zombie Holocaust (aka Dr. Butcher M.D. [...( read more)Medical Deviate]) is a pretty entertaining ride. The movie starts out with a medical assistant who is stealing body parts from cadavers. Doctors soon find out that he is a modern day cannibal and they trace the tribe back to an island which is inhabited by the flesh eaters. The group of city people are slowly killed by the cannibals but the survivors soon find out that a mad doctor is turning some of the natives into zombies.

Some of the gore in this movie is quite well done and is pretty gruesome. A zombie gets a boat motor shoved right in it's face, a woman has her skull sawed open and her brain removed, some cannibals rip out a man's eyes and feast on them. There are so many great death scenes in this movie that you almost watch it just for them. They are so well done too that they almost go hand in hand with some of Fulci's death scenes.

The acting is decent, the movie doesn't rely on it. It relies on storyline, gore, and nudity, which there is a decent amount of. Ian McCulloch does a fairly good job as the protagoist, and Donald O'Brein does quite a good job as the mad doctor.

All together this is a pretty good zombie/cannibal film and is reccommended for a fan of both genres. Once you get past the acting then it's highly entertaining and is worht the watch.

The high rating I gave this movie is only because of the arm popping off the dummy when it hits the ground from the hospital window.
