I give it some credit for laughably bad scenes although you probably can't stand the movie long enough to get to them.

Great kung fu. Horrible acting. Horrible story. No zombies whatsoever.

So bad that you just keep watching. Cliche to the point where it wraps around and passes cliche a few more times. Simply awesome in its campiness.

"The ancient fighting tradition of the dragon's fire burns with the flames of Hell"

    Godfrey Hoooooooooo!

The master of two ninja films in one returns twice more in Zombie vs. Ninja or alternatively known as Zombie Rival The Super Ninja Master. Whichever name you go by it's got...( read more) ninja and zombie in the same title and you can't turn a film down with a title like that.

Ok so these days we have zombies that run, but back in the eighties we had kung fu zombies, although in this film it looks more like the zombie actors are robotic dancing. For our two stories this time around we have the ninja story of Duncan (good ninja) and Burt, Bobby and Co. (bad ninjas) trying to kill each other. The other story is about Ethan Chang and his quest to avenge his fathers death, thankfully he is discovered by a passing buck-toothed, Ninja master with the power to raise the dead. Unfortunately this story although the much longer isn't as entertaining as the ninja story line. Ethan and his chums aren't ninjas as a true ninja wears a headband with the word NINJA on it.

Not the best work by Godfrey Ho, but it does get bonus points for having zombie and ninja in the same film title. Plus I am left with a few fond memories with a few of the amusing moments during the film such as the ninja pose-off.... to the death, and the immortal line "I've never seen anybody shit like that before!"
