    Proof that zombie's never go out of style, whether they can move like an Olympic sprinter on adrenaline overdrive or whether they're just dragging along but still manage to catch up to you...they're a blast.
    But as much as we love em', it's pretty rare for me to come across a fli...( read more)ck where they're not the ones grabbing your attention through most of it and when the main characters aren't just out there for us to speculate over who's gonna get eaten first.

    And I think this is what makes 'Zombieland' a winner. The characters are so diverse but fall together so seamlessly: the slightly strange, quirky, quiet nerd with a seemingly endless list of survival methods for this new accursed earth, the rogue with a knack of just knowing how to avoid becoming a victim and the ever entertaining ability to kill with anything he gets his hands on (actually foregoing the use of a gun just because he prefers using other "stuff") and these equally unconventional sisters that are just out to get away (or con their way out) from all this by escaping to a place that was a childhood love.
    And just for the hell of it we'll throw in Bill Murray, a guy who can get a laugh out of you by just seeing his name in the credits.
    The cast needless to say was perfect. I mean the marriage between the film's humour and gore was a big help but really it was all about the "human" element...well at least the humans that were still human sort to speak :).
    It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

    It's easy to, as many people have, immediately start comparing this film to Shaun of the Dead, but it's really unfair to simplify it so much. Just because they are both comedies that deal with zombies does not make it a knock-off.



    No, this film is original, well-don...( read more)e, and a helluva lot of fun. As a comedy it succeeds completely, with plenty of laughs from beginning to end. Extra points for a hilarious cameo appearance (which I won't spoil here - seriously, avoid reviews until you see the film and beware of spoilers!) And even as just a zombie film it works on every level. I'd say it already ranks as one of my all-time top three zombie flicks. Ruben Fleischer is going to be a director to watch in the next few years.

    Great fun for fans of horror/zombie films.
    Though I have to say that while both Harrelson & Eisenberg are great and the film was pretty consistantly ammusing...Bill Murray's 10 minutes of screen time was by far the high point of the film.

    This zombie splatter comedy film is winning on pretty much all fronts it is fighting on without giving a shit about the conventions of the genre, like slow zombies or a commentary on society. Not only is it incredibly funny, but also really gory and exciting as a horror film, and...( read more) works as buddy movie with characters you love to care about as well. How the movie manages to do all that in just 90 minutes is a little wonder and one of the most pleasant surprises of the year. To top it all, it includes the probably best cameo appearance ever (Billy Murray), has an excellent soundtrack, the second best title sequence of the year (after Watchmen): "For whom the bell tolls" and many more really fresh and fun ideas, like the main character's interactive rules for zombie survival. Harrelson has never been cooler and it's nice to see that Abigail Breslin is as excellent as a young teenager as she was as a kid. By the end of the film you are in love with those characters, as happy about a twinkie or the trashing of an Indian gift shop as they are. We demand a sequel, bring on Zombieworld!

    I really want to give this movie 3 stars, I can't stand Jesse Eisenberg. He is outrageously bad and looks to be on the verge of tears in every scene, and no that's not due to his character being phobic about everything, that's just how bad he is. I was hoping this movie would r...( read more)edeem him but no no no no no, he is still awful. I tried to watch this movie editing out Eisenberg in my mind, but I couldn't because he freeeekin' narrated the movie, complete bollocks. Other than everything I just wrote, Zombieland was a pretty cool movie.

    Fun, fun, fun movie. One of Woody Harrelson's 2 great roles this year that won't get him the nomination for the Oscar (but in a fair world, could).

    Very very funny! Just super gross with the zombies who keep vomitting out blood. Bill Murray was hilarious!!! I get the need for expletives especially when you're the few remaining humans on earth. One of the best comedies!
