A sequel to the blockbuster movie adaptation The Da Vinci Code is in the works. Scriptwriter Akiva Goldsman, who adapted the Dan Brown novel for the screen, has reportedly been paid $3.8 million to write the sequel. However, it's said the sequel will not be an original story, but will actually be based on Angels And Demons, the book which precedes The Da Vinci Code.

    it's not a sequel. It's a prequel to the movie. Can anyone change that?

    yay i really hope so!!! angels and demons was an amazing book.....i read it during CSAPs (these really annoying tests kids in colorado have to take every march....they last like 4 days) and i kept on gasping outloud and everyone was like "SHUT UP!!". well ya, anyway. da vinci code was well done, but i hope they dont screw this one up.

    it's not a sequel.
    it's a prequel, but it's not really linked to the da vinci code, the only thing that links them is Robert Langdon.

    A&D was the better book, but they'l lprobably ruin it like they did the DaVinci Code when they make the movie.

    I read Da Vinci Code before the movie came out and I was pretty disappointed. Now, their coming out with Angels and Demons, which I was my favourite out of the two, and I'm sure I'll be disappointed again... oh well...

    I can't wait too see the movie! Honestly Angels and Demons (the book of course) is so much better then The DaVinci Code, its my favourite of all of Dan Brown's books.

    I know it's called Angels and Demons. It said so on the DVD of The Da Vinci Code. It'll be in theatres in 2008. I personally can't wait because I liked Angels and Demons better than The Da Vinci Code!
