Tom Hanks rumors have swamped our e-mail inboxes this morning with many claiming that the actor was dead. The questions and allegations ranged from 'he died of a heart attack' to an 'accidental death while he was filming a movie.'

None could be confirmed. Now AOL's entertainment web site has TMZ.Com reported the good news - Tom Hanks is not dead.

A web site called Fake-A-Wish appears to the be the source of the false report.
