Hilary Duff and Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden have confirmed they have split after nearly two and half years together. Madden made a DJ appearance at Chicago, Illinois hotspot Enclave last Wednesday, where he told clubgoers he was no longer with Duff. The band's manager Steve Feinberg tells American publication People, "I can indeed confirm that Joel is single. We are not going to elaborate on Joel's personal life but I will say they have split." According to a witness at the Chicago club, Madden cited the couple's age difference as the source of the problems in their relationship. Madden, 27, and Duff, 19, only went public with their relationship last year.

Am so happy, i hated this guy at the beginning... yay..

    I was devestaded when I heard that Joel and Hilary broke up cuz I thought they were a really good couple. I just hated it when I heard that Joel was dating Nicole Richie like not even a week after breaking up with Hilary, I thought that was really dumb...but oh well life is life and wat can ya do...But I am a huge fan of Hilary and hope she is happy no matter wat...

    Thank god they split up!Joel is ugly and he is all tatooed up!I think Hilary Duff should date Zac Efron ,they look cute together,but i don't think this could happen..
