Carrie Underwood's album Some Hearts has come out on top on this year's U.S album Soundscan sales, which tracks sales that took place during the official Billboard chart year. The chart year began in November 2005 and ended a few weeks ago.

In addition to Underwood, a whopping three other country acts were in the top ten this year!

And, noticeably absent from the top earners? Many hip hop albums, which used to dominate the top ten.

    The U.S started going downhill along time ago! I beleive thats why people want Clinton back! but let's not turn it in to politics, the truth is, hip hop isn't dead, it's in slumber, it will rise again, not through new fresh talent, but through those artists we all know and love (DMX, Dre, Eminem, Ludacris and you know Tupac is gonna be in there somewhere! damn he's released more since he stopped breathing! most of it is better than his music from when he was alive!)

    Wow all of those discs suck(except Johnny Cash of course). Whats wrong with you people. High School Musical is the gayest thing since ever(yes it is, dont disagree with me because you probably only like it cuz of the songs). Please it was a Musical about a musical. There should be more rock artists and metal artists on there. But there not. Wheres Wolfmother? seriously I think the US is going downhill now.
