The rumour mill has it that Sony are keen on relaunching the money-spinning “Charlie’s Angels” franchise – and so is star and producer Drew Barrymore.

According to Sky News, Barrymore has already started talking to actresses about playing roles in “Charlies Angels 3” – including rocker Pink, who contributed music to the previous film’s soundtrack.

"It's early days, but we know that while the critics hated it, the fans love them girls. I hope that I get to play my role as a bad girl”, says Pink, who seems to have really caught the acting bug of late, with this and chasing the lead (despite apparently now being out of the running) in “Gospel according to Janis”, playing the legendary rocker herself.

No word on whether Cameron Diaz and Lucy Liu will return to reprise their roles as Barymore’s kick-ass sidekicks in the new film, and with Liu’s comments of late – suggesting she’s finished with the series – it’s quite likely we won't. Bring on some fresh babes fighting fancy next time round.

    Personally I would like to see Selma Hyack and Hale Berry as angels, something along the lines of Natalie and Alex are taken hostage from the begining of the show and the two new ladies assist Dylan in the recovery process.

    Of course Pink would be a part of the problem.

    Good luck Drew...can not wait for the next instalment either way.

    if they were to make a third i say...don't get anyone new it's just not the same without the three of them its like in charlie's angels(i think 2)when dylan and alex are talking about who might leave first then dylan sorta dozes off into a daydreaming thing when there were the three of them then with the other person and the other persons....i know it is to be saying that she is going to be the last one to leave but i mean really three DIFFERENT angels???i say no....stick with the three of them drew barrymore,cameron diaz,lucy liu.IF they want three new angels wait the nxt 100 yrs wen im dead.

    the only way that Charlie's angels 3 will turn out any good is if the original cast gets together, otherwise I'm thinking a box office tank. What is with these sequels, you would think that hollywood would figure it out that after the second sequeal people get bored

    there is no sidekicks...they are a team! no1 is the leader. and i think it should still b cameron diaz, lucy lui and drew barrymore...otherwise its not the charles angels of this generation!and i agree with whoever said that hollywood is makin sequels to everything....sometimes its a good thing...but i highly doubt it....

    That is so true, same with Superman, Batman, now with Spiderman and Pirates of the Caribbean. If the movie give a hint of action, explosion, comedy, they will to a sequeal for sure.

    They're making sequels for every damn movie in Hollywood.
    Because we all know that sequels are a Benjamin factory, at least until we get to Charlies Angels number 10, when they're like 60 years old and saving the world one last time.
