At a press-event for Sony Pictures and Marvel Entertainment's Ghost Rider, producer Avi Arad announced that talks are now underway to develop a sequel to the action-packed superhero movie starring Nicolas Cage and Eva Mendes.

Cage would once again portray stunt cyclist Johnny Blaze who has sold his soul to the devil. By day, Johnny is a die-hard stunt rider... but at night, in the presence of evil, he becomes the Ghost Rider, a bounty hunter of rogue demons, forced to do the devil's bidding.

Ghost Rider is one of Nicholas Cage's favorite comics; he is very passionate about playing the character and would be eager to come back for future installments.

    Awesome!!! I loved Ghost Rider and am excited to hear about the second movie coming out. I'm happy that Nic's going to be in the second movie too and is happy to do it because if an actor doesn't want to play the same character again the acting probably won't be as good. I'm excited!! Rock on Ghost Rider!!!

  • The bike stunt over the spinning helicopter blades was enough for me know that its a must see. I really can't wait. my only hope is that the rest of the movie will live up to my expectation.

  • Yeah good job on letting us know about the sequal. But i can't just help feel dissapointed about nicolas cage after doing classic films like the weather man and lord of war that he couldn've chosen a better movie, screw being passionate about a comic, you can tell the movie will be shit.
