They don't say much more about it other than to insist they've got two "on the money" sources, but the LatinoReview website insists that Maggie Gyllenhaal has been cast as Katie Holmes' replacement to be Batman's (Christian Bale) girlfriend, Rachel Dawes, in The Dark Knight. Stay tuned … And on the subject of rumors, yesterday we passed on the chatter about The Departed co-stars Matt Damon and Mark Wahlberg teaming up for a movie about firefighters. Well, turns out that was almost right.

    Im glad I prefer her to Katie Holmes, ever since she married Tom Cruise I haven't liked her at all. I saw Maggie in 'Mona Lisa Smile' and thought shedid a great job so I'll look forward to seeing her possibly in this.Especially with the gorgeous christian bale

    I definately think Maggie is much better for the part. Katie is indeed pretty but should stick to things like Dawsons Creek

    Katie Holmes is better looking, but lacked the personality so I do agree with that, I know Maggie is actually a better actress.. but.. I guess I'll have to see the movie to know how I'm going to feel about it.

    THAT IS GREAT NEWS!!! I found Ms. Holms performance lacking, difficult to watch and very flat. I really felt they should have cast a no name actress or someone else, altogether. Scarlett Johansen would have been a better choice. I am just glad they fixed this. Overall, Batman Beginnings was great!!
